I read one on MTV, and it said that Beyonce came to the Garden(here in Alicia's home town) And *** *** down!!! Even Ed Lover said that Ne-Yo who was AK's openning act stole the show from her! Ms. Beyonce needs other people (Neo) to provide her with songs. Mr. West creates his own lyrics, and also has a world-wide fan base. People all over the world love rap music, and America has been the foundation of rap going back to the mid to late 70's.
Only one problem: Back in the day, rap music was diverse, today it is not. Essentially, Fifty Cent drops the same album, and he's not the only one. Mr. West is on another level, and he takes you back to how rap is supposed to be.
The Notorious B.I.G. was primarily a gangster rapper. However, when he dropped lyrics it was off the hook. It was as if he opened a book, and was telling a story, turning one page at a time. Even after his death, Fifty still can't touch B.I.G..
Going back to Mr. West, his lyrics and style are unique and stand out. His rap tunes are not limited to money, guns, cars, and naked women. Ex., Blood Diamonds from Sierra, Jesus Walks, Touch the Sky, Through the Wire, Can't Tell Me Nothing.
p.s., The only enterainter who can carry the title of "Best Artist" is the Artist formerly known as Prince.

LOL!!!!! Either way, she will face the embarassment. The most Beyonce has sold in a debut week on the charts is 663,000 and that was with DESTINY'S CHILD and the "Survivor" CD. On her own, the most she has sold is 541,000 with "B'Day". I don't like her or her music, and I won't even bring up the bad dancing and bad acting, but I give credit where credit is due. Her first-week album sales are some pretty impressive numbers. However, Kanye's albums crush her first week sales in numbers. I don't know the first week numbers of "College Dropout", but "Late Registration" debuted with 860,000 and "Graduation" with 957,000. There is no competition. Beyonce should spare herself the humiliation and scrap this whole competition idea. It's lame, it's boring, it's overdone and not gonna work anyway. I'm sure Beyonce supporters from all over are going to make sure they buy her album the first week, which is understandable, and it may bring in the biggest first-week sales number of her career, but it will NOT beat out Kanye. No matter how much you love her, the truth is it just won't happen. I know the article is saying this is Kanye's doing, but I highly doubt that.
