By American standards, I am overweight, but I run 4+ miles a day, I have low cholesterol and no issues with my blood pressure. I a "thicker" build (175lbs), but I can run circles around skinny chicks. I do it all the time. LOL!!!

I agree we are in a health crisis and obesity is a major problem.... I just don't like the idea of people tearing down her beauty because she is heavier. She probably can loose a little, but if she doesn't, that isn't a death sentence either.

I guess some of these comments get under my skin a little because she reminds me of many women I know. Beautiful and heavy, but put down by mainstream society simply because they didn't fit the cookie cutter view of beauty.

Anorexia, bulemia.... sometimes downright starvation can be caused by an unhealthy self image. If I see beauty, I say it.

I am considered to be 15lbs overweight, but I am extremely healthy. When I get under 160, my head looks like a watermelon on my neck. LOL!!!

I think that we have to be a little more open minded in our understanding of beauty, but more importantly, health. We can't judge a book by the cover, you know?
