: Guess who's being featured in this month's issue of Hip Hop Weekly in it's "Hip Hop Entrepreneurs" section - our very own founder and editor Fred Mwangaguhunga.
The article talks about how our lil ole media company came about and it gives you a little insight into how we're run. And of course, it gives you a few pics of our founder - for all those curious.
Oh, and by the way guys. September was MediaTakeOut.com's BEST MONTH EVER in terms of traffic. We had close to 5 MILLION people visit the site and it amounted to nearly 150 MILLION page views.
To put that into perspective - not only is it clear that MediaTakeOut.com is the most visited Black website in the world, but we now have a higher monthly readership than the estimated monthly readership of Essence Magazine (1,087,720 according to the Magazine Publishers Of America), Ebony Magazine (1,429,691 according to the MPA), and Jet Magazine (926,890 according to the MPA) combined.
In other words, we're on the come up y'all .... Ain't you glad to be a part of it ...

You have this disclaimer about mainstream media crediting your website, but when you take things from other smaller blogs you and never credit them, and that is not cool. Now would you please do something to make this site more user-friendly, like making the links work all of the time and making it easier for us to read the posts without having to go back and forth all the time???? How about a new server, ISP or whatever it takes to make browsing MTO easier?
And while we're talking about improvements, can you please invest in a good editor and/or proof reader so that we don't have to wade through all of the bad spelling and sentence construction that makes this site look and feel so "Limited?" We do not all want to be bogged down trying to decipher ebonics, and we can keep it real without sounding illiterate.
