: Could Beyonce new album really be a 7 disc compilation. Well that's what Beyonce suggested to MediaTakeOut.com in a message she sent to us yesterday afternoon.
Beyonce reached out to MediaTakeOut.com and gave us this message - asking us to share it with you guys. We actually felt kinda special until we saw that she put the very same thing on her Myspace page.
Here's what she had to say:
"I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album.WOW!! 7 cd's ... Bey may have just CHANGED THE GAME!!!!I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny's Child when I was 15 years old.
I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me. I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. And i agree with you that there is a definate contrast between her and some of the competing females. These females are still writing lyrics to "envoke attention" and controversy. Although....sounds like Beyonce is trying to loophole her way out of a 7 CD deal with her record label. Because if I'm not mistaken, Columbia has had Destiny's Child bound to a 7-CD contract deal. With her having her own brand and name outside of that group, she must have also signed a 7-CD contract deal of her own, too. She tryin' to cut ties with her label, y'all!!

1. Just because she said she has recorded over 70 tracks, does not mean she will release them all... A lot of artists have hundreds of tracks that are never released. It's just what sounds good for the album and will make the album successful. 2. IF... she does release a 70 track/7 disk compilation... WTF?! Is it gonna be $70?!

I disagree with Coolin! You are genius. If you can sale 7 CD's for less than $35, you will be knocking out the biggest competition in the market, bootleggers, which equals more sales! It may seem like you'll lose a lot of money, but I think you'll come out on top like you always do. It's simple because you always sell more if it's less money. You can set it up so that a person can buy 5 cd's for $25-$30, and, if 1 million or more of the 5cd-sets are sold in the first week, you can give the last two for free to those who bought the 5-set in the first week. More incentive to buy 5cd-set! Just have them give their contact info at the location they buy them from. Just some ideas. I love what you are doing!

Nowhere in that passage did she say that she would be releasing a 7-disc set. MTO has such an idiot staff of writers. It is customary for an artist to record that many songs for an album. It gives them a variety to chose to put on the album. Kanye West is still using songs on his new albums that he recorded almost 8 years ago.
