: Last December MediaTakeOut.com reported that Jay Z and Beyonce were married in a small ceremony outside of Paris - and the couple had symbols tattooed on their ring fingers instead of exchanging rings.

MediaTakeOut.com can officially confirm to you that last week Jay Z and Beyonce were married in a small private ceremony in Paris, France.Well now in an interview with Essence, Beyonce appears to CONFIRM our initial report, that she and Jay Z were initially married in DECEMBER when they had their wedding fingers tattooed and not in APRIL when they had a quasi-public ceremony in New York City.And we have proof. According to our source, who is an EXTREMELY close family member of Beyonce's, the couple chose, instead of exchanging rings, to tattoo a personal inscription on each of their ring fingers. Source

Beyoncé tells the magazine that the wedding was very small and intimate, because she’s not a “traditional” woman and having it be “her day” wasn’t something she needed. Being a star and walking the red carpet has diminished the need for that over the years. “It’s been my day so many days already,” she told the magazine.Ummm .... can you say BUSTED!!!!She didn’t want an engagement ring because “people put too much emphasis on that. It’s just material, and it’s just silly to me,” she said.
Instead of just getting wedding rings, the couple also got matching tattoos of the Roman numeral four on their ring fingers, so if they take off the bands for work or to go swimming, a mark of some form is still there. (The number four is special to the couple because her birthday is September 4, his birthday is December 4, and their wedding anniversary is April 4.)

it's cool. i mean i like Bey and everything , but i must say i disagree with all this "hiding" and privacy aloofness that they do.this is the only thing that urks me about her and Jay. Seems as though in one breath they say it is their personal business, yet in another breath they decide at their convenience(when albums are dropping) to let you in on some of the business.

Yada, yada, yada. I read that and she also jokingly said she was going to get in trouble for talking about her marriage. She said "what Jay and I have is real and it's not about interviews.... WTH? I'm sorry, I don't buy that. No one has to come out and discuss their private lives but IMO when a couple is that secretive someone wants to still play the player role. I wasn't born yesterday and since I've been around, that's how celebs act when they don't want the public to know. Is it Beyonce who wants to keep it a secret or Jay Z?
Growing up none of the celebs could appear attached due to their careers. That's what happened with the backlash from Usher's union. In the day he never would've been able to reveal that marriage because of his celebrity image created for him.
Nowadays, the celebs who hide their love have a different kind of love to me. They want the world to still see them as single, just in case....
