Here's how TMZ is reporting it:
Smyrna, Ga. police tell us they were responding to a gunshots fired call when they spotted Jennings' Vette hightailing it away from the scene. A chase ensued and Jennings eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon. and he faces charges of attempting to elude, as well as discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusing to take the sobriety test.Lyfe -- real name Chester -- was in prison from 1992-2002 after being convicted of arson.
Not sure about breaking the law, just asking, once you are a convicted felon, you cannot posses a gun right? So unless somebody is beatin his Momma her fcking with his children, this dude should never have a gun right? I like Lyfe Jennings too, why do something so stupid? A lot of people looked up to his hoodish ways & his music came from the soul. Now what do we have to wait for how much jail time you have??!!! The article stated that he was in prison from 1992-2002. Ten years for arson...yet, wasn't Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes convicted of arson as well back in 1995, but was only given 5 years PROBATION?? Well, at least now that Lyfe is famous maybe the judge will go easier on him the way they do all celebrities.

Read the article. There is nothing in that article that said Lyfe was in possession of a gun. The article also did not say a gun was found in his car. Lyfe was not found at the scene of the *** he was found speeding away. The police has to prove that he had a gun in his possession. Look at the news report, if he had a gun in his possession they would have said so. Don't jump to conclusions. This is different from TI case because he was in the car with the guns. In Lyfe's case we don't know just yet. However, it was not smart for him to run away from the police, but it was smart, from a legal standpoint, to refuse to take a sobriety test.
Must be nice.... Anytime someone does an extensive amount of time in prison, and is released back into society, they go through a form of culture shock. The streets are new to them, nothing is as it was when they left. Some getting out now have no idea what the internet consist of. Some adjust well, while others still struggle with being in society, in which they always return to the place that they are familiar with, prison.

Guys who have been IN THE LIFE (no pun intended) tend to navigate, after prison release, towards the neighborhood & people (including haters) that might or probably have contributed to previous legal problems & incarcerations. Once that individual is successful, serious consideration needs to be given to moving around a different element & breaking ties with so-called 'friends'.
Ice-T was once quoted as saying that he raps (or used to) about hard 'hood life including the violence, etc., but he realized that he with his tremendous financial success could no longer actually LIVE in the 'hood'.
I don't know the source of Lyfe's issue yet, waiting like everyone else for details. But, if he escapes serious incarceration like TI did, he had better start changing & praying. Quickly. Seriously.

I represent my clients well. Always in a nice conservative suit. The judge was a friend of mine and it was an inside joke. It had nothing to do with my appearance or how I carry myself in court. As for how a 40 year old man dresses or what type of hairstyle he might have is not my concern. I have enough to worry about. Ok. I just watched the news and the report said he was involved in an altercation with his child's mother. He reportedly kicked in heer door when she refused to allow him to see his children. Then he went in the front yard and *** his gun in the air. He jumped in his car as some witnesses called the police. Police saw him trying to flee the scene and followed him. Lyfe then wrecked his car trying to drive over a narrow one laned bridge. He was thrown from the car and that's why he looks so jacked up. I wouldnt be surprised if the cops beat him down too. Cobb county is shady. But I mean I am a hugh Lyfe fan. I am praying he is alright and they dont bury the man. Cobb county is messed up and will lock you up for months for a speeding ticket.

Regarding Lyfe's condition during & after the altercation that caused his arrest, his actions are his own & if he was drunk or high, well, that's on him. Being drunk or high is not a valid excuse for hurting or killing someone, etc. That compromised condition DOES tend to inhibit caution, but it doesn't give Lyfe or anyone else a pass. What if he had *** THROUGH the door & hit the child OR the woman?
Looks like Lyfe really messed up & it would happen SOUTH of the Mason/Dixon line.

So which one is it? Either you agree that black people supported Obama or they didn't (a la Hillary Clinton's campaign). I'm completely aware of the population disparities, so save me the percentages from this and that poll, survey etc. And when I was refering to the black people doubting Obama, it was in regards to the mental slavery that some people are still under which doesn't allow them to trust, listen, or support a black man due to the subconscience inferiority that has been embedded in us generation after generation. (I guess it was me) No one ever admits to this because it has never been brought to the foreconscious (for my psychology buffs). Meaning that since no one was ever told of the greatness, and true worth of a black man, then you've never known. Even a black man like yourself!
