Well, no one HAS to offer condolences but it's what any regular compassionate person does when someone they know has suffered a tragic loss of a loved-one. In Jennifer's case, it was a massive tragedy. so shocking that even Barack Obama, as busy as he was, took the time to try to find her phone number to call her. If HE could make the time to reach out to Jenn at the saddest time in her life (EVERYONE KNOWS HOW CLOSE SHE WAS TO HER MAMA AND FAMLY), then Beyonce has no excuse. But hopefully there is a miscommunication. She did not have to go to the funeral, but she could have sent a private note or phone call. It doesn't take much to offer some comfort.

@Texas- Sista I'm not basing my feelings about her from the negative stories on MTO. I have READ stories from official NEWSPAPERS associated press that led to my distaste for her. The AP covered the stories about her wishing to be latina. The AP also ran the story about her telling Obama she's available to sing at his inauguration.

So let me clarify. If you read my first two posts, I tried to come from both sides of the argument. On one hand, I DO think that it is cruddy that Beyonce didn't send her condolences because she at least knew the girl and worked with her on a project. I understand that a bunch of other celebs and public figures did show their support for Jennifer in one way or another, including New York of all people. I know that if I worked with Jennifer in some way, shape, or form, then I would've definitely extended my condolences. On the other hand, Jennifer's best friend should be worried about Jennifer's well being and not who gave their condolences and who didn't. If he's worried about who contacted Jennifer and who didn't, then he should start calling out the people from American Idol, the Disney cruise ships, and everybody else that she's worked with if they didn't contact her. And my third post asked questions related to this point. I understand that he said that people were calling him about how it was great that Beyonce came to the funeral and so on. I think that he should've probably addressed & corrected those particular people who made this assumption instead of publicizing it to everybody on Myspace. A simple response to the mistaken people would be, "Beyonce didn't come to the funeral" and leave it at that. That statement wouldn't be defending Beyonce in the least bit; it's just the simple & plain truth.

It's not like that's her best friend and they see or talk to each other on the regular. Many co-stars of movies don't stay in touch.
