Yes, all the ladies look good. And it's Noemi Lenoir, not Naomi Lenore. Brazilian, Caymanian, French and Jamaican are all cultural labels. So Noemi is French-Black or "African-French" if you want to mirror the African-American label. The last I checked, if you had 1% of Black blood in you, you were considered Black (especially if you had those features). I guess a lot has changed since slavery with "mixed people" claiming they aren't Black or others claiming it for them. My rule of thumb is this - if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and "talks" like a duck, it's a duck. Sorry, but if you look Black, you're Black unless you say otherwise. There are other races in the world besides Black and White. We do have Indians and Asians too. So I have to disagree with the theory that ALL Brazilians have African ancestry and are therefore "Black." For example, Both Adriana and Emanuela are from Brazil. Adriana's "mix" looks more like her Portugese-European and indigenous Brazilian Indian ethnicity, while Emanuela looks more indigenous Indian/African. So really, of these two Brazilians, only Emanuela would be considered "Black." Of the two, she is the one who looks Black, while Adriana doesn't.

An AFRO was a rebelious and celebratory hair styles of the 60s and 70s. Everybody white, light and dark wanted one. It represneted self love, unity and rebellion against racism...but it was just a hair style of the times not an image to base BLACKNESS on.

It's interesting you include Heidi Klum in a pictorial about Black models but that's another story. Victoria's Secret is to be commended. Some years back they came under scrutiny because their catalog and shows did not have ANY Black models. Now they are in the forefront for employing models of color. I hate how ppl argue over who is a "real" black woman & who isn't.
