It's a shame that we could never come together for an event. I'm in the music business and it makes the whole industry look bad as a whole. To be fighting because someone was calling out their town they represent is sad. There were even reports of rappers smoking weed in the building and fights that aren't even being reported. when you're representing yourself even your label (doesn't matter if it's your own)your character speaks for itself. some comments state that the rappers still have a little hood in them well they are too *** old and it's many in the music business who wants to further their career and who wants a *** to be where some of these guys are. It took years for hip hop to be accepted and it's still not in some places and when people turn on their tv's and see this type of fighting it sends the wrong message for hip hop as a whole. Alot of times people will say there's not enough award ceremonies where we are recognized this is one of the reasons why. Alot of sponsors play a part in helping these programs get off the ground and behind the scenes I know sponsors who wouldn't give a dime to the hip hop community and they are sitting on billions. I had to convince a few sponsors of my own that everyone doesn't carry a negative image behind them . so that's why we don't have a lot of programs or many major award shows one monkey could spoil the bunch. I work behind the scenes and alot of artist who never get recognized is because they don't appear to be gangsta enough. It's alot of talent in the industry but if you don't have a certain image you're not industry standard. I think when people have invested their time and money into an award show respect that and if it's that much tension handle your business on your own terms. Many people came from out of town to have a good time, to enjoy themselves not to see chairs being thrown on stage, or having to run out because of the smell of mace and not knowing if anything else would pop off. So much behind the scene work went into making sure this type of thing didn't happen and I know the person who put this together must be upset because many are.
I was there. *** lo started this sh*t. He sang a couple of his songs and at the end of his performance he says this is for my boy yung la the guy who sangs aint i. They started askin where he was and when they found him they started singin the diss song dont i that was out to the whole grand hustle team. At that point they started throwin chairs on the stage. The fight was broken up and they went to break. At the end of the show T.I. won the humanatarian award and he said we cant leave and not perform this certain song. They began to sing the aint i remix song and directed it to *** lo. Thats when they started spraying pepper spray and throwin more chairs. They stopped the music but they kept singin. Thats how all the drama began and ended. Oh well i still had fun.

Rappers always say that they're telling stories of the situations they go thru in the hood, knowing full well that their lyrics are negatively effecting the kids. Since she has been a solo artist, she would say in interviews that she's a different person on stage, and she says that person's name is Sasha. She did not in any way name her alter ego after Obama's daughter, those two entities are UNRELATED!
Beyonce does not only shake her azz at concerts, and she most definitely would not do that at an inauguration. Beyonce has many stage acts, and she can sing very classical, and beautifully. She has before. She has sang in French at an event in France where she had on a long gown and a very conservative show. Beyonce is multifaceted and that is WHY she is so celebrated and here to stay.
