: It might be time for Plaxico to just plead guilty and take his behind to jail. MediaTakeOut.com just learned that police conducted a SURPRISE SEARCH at Plaxico Burress’ home last night and discovered that he was hiding a small cache of guns.
Here’s how the NY Newsday is reporting it:
Authorities searched the New Jersey home of Plaxico Burress last night and found two guns and the clothes the Giants wide receiver was wearing when he accidentally shot himself in the leg last month, according to multiple reports.Some fools just belong in jail ….Sources cited in those reports said detectives from the NYPD, officers from the Totowa, N.J., Police Department and investigators from the Manhattan district attorney's office discovered at least two weapons - a 9-mm gun and a loaded rifle - along with ammunition and the clothes from the Nov. 29 incident at the Latin Quarter nightclub in Manhattan. Sources also said that no permits for the weapons were found.
I don't see anyone making excuses. There is no crime in owning a gun, unless it's like Allahuakbar stated. That's not an excuse...it is the truth. So them finding guns in his home doesn't mean shat. He hasn't been convicted of anything yet, and those guns likely were purchased prior to the incident.

Meaning, he didn't buy them legally; that's the point. Therefore, if they're un-registered, he didn't complete the paperwork to legally purchase them. 1st Case: He has a right to protect his household. How many people do you know who has some sort of weapon to protect themselves? Second of he's rich. Hey Texas. Okay. He's a dumbass for taking the gun to the club and allowing the permit to expire no doubt. And he probably should've gotten rid of them. But then again, it's not like he was looking to kill someone. Athletes have guns in their homes, so it's not uncommon or unusual. The crime was him having it in a club and carrying it, and not having a NY permit. The media only leaked this story to incite/create more drama onto this case. They want to make him out to be some wild dangerous man. He may be stupid and dumb, but I can't knock anyone, especially a rich Black man for having a gun in his home. Here is the gun law in New York...
"No permit is required for the purchase of a rifle or shotgun (except in New York City). No person, firm or corporation engaged in the retail business of selling rifles, shotguns or handguns, shall sell, deliver or transfer any such gun to another person unless the transferee is provided with a gun locking device and a label on safe storage." _______________
Last I checked...Plax was in New York city. So if he didn't have the paperwork, he in fact did commit a crime...period.
And without paperwork (i.e. REGISTRATION)Plax can't verify he purchased the guns legally or legally in another municipality.

Addition, the waiver of permits ONLY applies to rifles and shotguns...NOT handguns. So the HANDGUN had to have paperwork, you MUST have a PERMIT to own a handgun in New York...period. It does NOT matter that it's ONLY in your house.
