: To all you washed up celebs out there … you may have a new source of income. MediaTakeOut.com just found out that actress Bernadette Stanis (AKA Thelma from Good Times) just came up with an innovative way to make a few coins.
You see, she’s charging fans $1 a minute to talk with them one-on-one on the telephone. Here’s how she described the set up in an interview with CYinterview.com.
A lot of times people would call me up and they wanted me to speak to their family members or friends and their friend was so happy to speak to me. They would say oh my gosh! I don't think I've ever had the opportunity to talk to a celebrity, to speak to a star and I am so happy.Call us crazy, but it sounds like a BRILLIANT IDEA!! We can think of a number of washed up celebrities that we’d like to speak to….That kind of stuck with me because I would hear that all the time. I said you know what? I wonder if it is possible that I could do something to give my fans an opportunity to actually speak with me and I came up with that.
If they just wanted to say hi, $13 would be fine. If they just wanted to talk for about a half hour, $30 would be fine
Child...wouldn't it be better if they did a movie like they did on the Brady Bunch or even better a Good Times reality show....all of them including J.J. is all washed up. That would be more decent than resorting to these types of desperate measures....while they at it, they need to do one on the Cosby Show too!!! SMDH!!!!

Who in their right *** mind would pay to talk to a celebrity. Times are hard, ain't nobody got extra cash like that. Well, I take some of that back b/c if I knew I could talk to Amare but had to pay for it, I'd do it if it's reasonable. LOL. I guess I'm crazy too. Go head Thelma, do your thang. You could run a special with the first minute free.

I remember Dionne was asked to be the celeb at a charity event (AIDS, I believe) and she charged them with first class airfare plus 5 star hotel and associated costs. The public was outraged over that. After that is when people started scrutinizing how much money charities actually donate.

After that she can make some more money off of me by writing a "superhead" tell all book about how I paid her rent and took care of her and her son!
