: ATLANTA – (AP) A lawyer for Bob Whitfield's ex-wife said Sheree Whitfield has dismissed her appeal seeking alimony because the former Atlanta Falcon has blown his fortune.
Michael Weinstock said before the Georgia Supreme Court that Whitfield hasn't paid any child support for his two children.
Bob Whitfield's lawyer, Chistopher Olmstead, said Monday that 38-year-old Sheree Whitfield, a star of the TV reality show "Real Housewives of Atlanta," should pay penalties for bringing a frivolous appeal.
Weinstock said the appeal was legitimate but that it is now irrelevant because Bob Whitfield is broke.
Whitfield is 37 and played for the Falcons for 12 years before retiring in 2007. He married Sheree Whitfield in June 2000 and separated three years later. She filed for divorce in 2005.
@ lilhairdreads..I completely agree!!! Karma is a mofo..all that bragging she did about 6 and 7 figure settlements...got her about 6 or 7 cents... compared to what her greedy *** wanted. She dismiss the appeal, not because he broke, but because somebody talked her *** down from that far out limb she was standing on...Well at least she had one friend, because her lawyer wasn't gonna tell her she didnt have a chance in hell. He would of gotten paid any *** way regardless!

I do not think Bob is broke. I think Sheree could not pay the $2,500.00 if her case was proven frivolous so she backed down. I think somebody told her she did not have a chance in hell in winning her case. I think she and her lawyers are starting rumors about Bob because they are bitter they cannot get anymore money out of him.
Most likely she's been advised to take what she got and keep it moving before she ends up with alot less. It's 2009 and from what has been made public she got enough to build a future and make a nice home for her and her kids. What's wrong with going back to middle class? @hersheykiss: Sheree's first daughter is the one she had when she got pregnant at like 15. However she doesn't acknowledge the girl at all or allow her first daughter to call her mom. She did an interview with either Essence or Ebony and took a picture with her two kids from the football player and her first daughter and referred to the girl as a "family friend"

When you marry a rich man, usually, he expects his wife to take care of the household and children, which, means she cannot devote any time to her career or making her own. When things don't work out, why do men get upset when their ex-wives want alimony? She deserves that at least because she could have made a career of her own, but intead, she decided to take care of you and not work or educate herself.
