: Remember yesterday when we told you that Beyonce WOULD NOT be singing at the Inauguration (we were right again ;)) but that she would be singing for President and first Lady Obama’s first dance.
And remember we told you that Obama’s folks were trying to keep the song a secret. Well Beyonce apparently felt that it was more important to get her publicity on than for her to comply with the wishes of the President.
Here’s the press release that Beyonce put out personally:
I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the first lady.And in case you think we're getting the story twisted, here's the OFFICIAL statement from Obama's spokesperson Linda Douglas. In announcing Beyonce's participation in the events, she stated:To sing `At Last' while they have their first dance is a dream come true. I could not be more honored and excited that they have asked me to be part of this moment in history.

What difference does it make? She just did the movie, why *** she perform the song? You know Mary J. Blige has covered a dozen of other people's songs, but you won't hear anyone saying negative about it. As a matter of fact, Mary did this song. ***, let the girl do her thing. Maybe that's the song that was requested by the couple. As far as Etta James is concerned, when was the last time she was invited to sing somewhere (no offense). None of us know for sure if it was really a secret. That's want the "media" may have wanted us to believe; however, we know how "correct" they usually are; especially this site!
Who CARES about this irrelevant, superficial, and shallow performer?! (she hasn't earned the right to be called a SINGER). All I want to know is Obama's economic plans and how he's going to stimulate this country out of its recession. Also I HOPE he creates millions of new jobs (as he's promised) for the american people. Those 2 issues should be his and OUR first priorities.

I'm here to say it as it is. She is irrelevant and always have been. Now granted there are some celebrities who use their star power for good causes. Oprah, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Susan Surandon and her husband, Jill Scott, diddy (even though I have issues with his arrogance-he still does for the community), even lil wayne and juvenille (read he donated some money to his local projects). Bey and Jay Z have done NOTHING with their star power to help the very communities which support them. Everytime I come across an article about either of them it's always talking about his SHOPS, his CLUBS, his business ventures. Beyonce too.
I also find it very disturbing to read that BEYONCE and SOLANGE cancelled some Houston charity BENEFIT in which they were to perform there for free to help raise awareness to Houston's orphans and poverty crisis. Do you know TWO days before the scheduled event, BEYONCE and SOLANGE pulled from the venue citing a "scheduling conflict"?! That story really bothered me because it simply strengthened my beliefs that she's a shady, selfish person.
Also I read an interview she did for VANITY FAIR. In it she talks about how she's blessed with fame and fortune and how she wanted to USE her starpower to TRAVEL to impoverish countries to DONATE and HELP poor peoples. She said she felt she should do something because life isn't about money and fancy clothes all the time (I'm para-phasing but this is what she's stated)
So when I think about all of the contradicting statements and actions she's made in her career, I can't help but go off. I don't think that people are getting upset with you because you don't like Obama. I think it is the way you put him down and you haven't even given the man a chance. You keep saying in 3 or 6 months you will be right and everybody is going to realize that we didn't elect the right person but how do you really know if McCain would have been the right person. Or any body for that matter.
The presidency is like any other job. You interview a person for the job and you select the person who you THINK is qualified enough for the job. Your thoughts on that person could either be 100% wrong or 100% right. You never know until you see that pereson in action. Hiring that person is based on what you THINK not what you KNOW.

I'm reading his book "Dreams from my father" and he seems to contradict his views alot. One minute he has sympathy for the black peoples while degrading this white system (which he has to run now), the next he's blaming us for our own ***. Maybe he's had to struggle to create his own "niche" in this world being he's biracial. I just hope he doesn't fail us and delivers his promises to the american people. I'll place her with Shaq cause we all know he speaks in the same tone all way through the movie and so does she. When you've been on public assistance so long you think all programs become one - that's when you know that it's time to become self sufficient and stop depending on the government to support you when you're doing nothing to support yourselves other than being angry that Beyonce is singing.
Here's a lesson in Welfare 101.
1. Section 8 is government subsidized housing (there are many forms of subsidized housing but for some reason when I mention Section 8 people become so defensive b/c they are recipients of it).
2. Section 8 is where the government agrees to pay a portion of your rent. (Wow I know what some of you are thinking....how can u be so lucky). For example if your rent is $1,200 section 8 will pay roughly $900 (of course this all depends on several factors - household composition, income, rent expenses, electrical & heating expenses, &/or whether someone is disabled in the home).
3. Now the recipients that are really GREAT at milking the system for all it's worth not only have section 8 to pay their rent but they have Public Assistance aka Welfare paying the remaining portion. So in my above example if the rent is $1,200 minus Section 8 portion $900, $300 remains. Well Welfare will pay the entire $300 in 2 increments during one month.
Now to my frequent flyer welfare recipients on this page am I correct so far? I mean correct me if I wrong since you love to correct Bey who you don't know so instead talk about a system in which you are really familiar with.
Food Stamps 101.
1. FS is a Federal Government program - controlled by the Legislative branch of government - Congress
2. People who receive food stamps do not necessarily qualify for or receive Section 8.
3. Food stamp qualification is based on several factors such as household composition, income into the home, whether any one in the home is disabled, electrical/heating/rental costs/medical costs, & age
3. Anyone who receives Social Security benefits AUTOMATICALLY qualifies for food Stamp benefits. So for example if Barack (assuming that this is true although I question the writers credibility) received food stamp benefits it could have been based on several factors - such as his elderly grandparents could have received SSI benefits.
WARNING: steer clear of this system that is designed to keep people oppress. Welfare should not be a career goal but unfortunately people have passed it along to one generation after the other as if it was a family heirloom.

lol It may be funny but I think looking tacky is her gimmick. She's letting herself go a little. Is there EVER any pictures of her coming out of a gym? Even Britney has those. If this is true I'm no longer appalled by her lack of integrity. This is a clear breach of contract, which seems to be norm for the Beyonce camp. For some reason she lives for the "screwing your fellow man when there is something in it for you" philosophy, something that she really needs to revamp because she is using ***-term methods for long-term success. If anything she should be thinking about hiring an ethics expert to give her direction about revamping her already damage image. I think the minute that these entertainment companies stop inviting her perform her career is over and that is so sad. Her greed and lack of integrity will be her ultimate demise. It is sad to say but the path in which she is heading to, is a crash course to no where. There are better ways of conducting business without screwing people over in the process and one could only hope that she learns this before it's too late.

Well I have read many things on here from peoples comments about Beyonce as much as many who worship her don't want to admit nor see is that she is what these so called "negative" people are saying about her to a point.
