: It appears that the new Biggie Smalls biopis was a SUCCESS!!! According to MediaTakeOut.com snitches, the new film is set to bring in between $22 and $25 MILLION in domestic sales.
To put that in perspective, Beyonce’s last film Cadillac Records pulled in $3.5 million in the first weekend. And Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married, a movie widely seen as a success, pulled in $21 million in its first weekend.
One insider tells MediaTakeOut.com, “It goes to show that Biggie’s name still means something in this day and age.”
i loved the movie i even cried @ the end & im a pac lover,i was mad how dey made pac a mad man,but at least they gave him his props,but puffy set biggie and pac up,u can see dat in da movie.lolhe said he wanted to be the last one on top and he is.he was hating on pac cuz him and biggie got 2 close,and they had 2 share da fame,pac was crazy but he was an intelligent man,if he said dey set him up dey did,puff didnt want them 2 squash it,and he was tired of sharing all the money wit biggie and all his kids,so he set biggie up,why nobody else got ***,why puff wasnt in the truck wit him,why nobody busted back.......................its more to this story,i do have a new respect for biggie,faith and for lil kim.
the movie truly brought back memories... i miss big and pac...wish those dudes were still here.
at any rate, i can understand y lil kim is mad about her portrayl in the movie...it seems like every opportunity to trash her it was done... the depictioin of lil cease and the rest of crew came off like nice dudes, when in fact, they know they were talking major *** about pac when he was murdered....i remember big being nonchalant about the whole thing...like it is what it is
one thing in particular i didn't like is when pac got *** in the studio...what was the purpose of them keying in on the groin...(dude got *** 5 times) to me it seems like they were clowin him
the movie probably would have been better if puff wasn't the executive producer because according to him... he was the one who put jodeci on top...those dudes didn't sample ***...that is what puff is known 4...SAMPLING...they wrote and produced their own ***...in fact puff was an intern...the only thing he could have done was suggest their image
Puff get off your high horse! You take credit for playing a critical role at every point in Big's career. It was you who discovered Big and gave him the option of selling drugs or rapping. Again, it was you and only you in the record business who believed in his talent. It was Puff who told him to record Juicy. It was Puff that said you can't change the world until you change yourself which seemed to change Big's life (whatever the f**k!) It was Puff who told he would take care of Ms. Wallace... It was Puff who told big to record in Cali... It was Puff held Big in arms ater the fatal gun *** wounds...
I could go on and on but I went on too much...lol
I am also a Tupac fan but I like Biggie too and I hope the movie does well.
I saw the movie and didnt expect to like it. Thought it would be on the same type of level as "Paid in Full" or "Belly". But, it was really good. My Derek Luke did a great job in his portrayal of Puffy and also great was Jamal in his portrayal of Biggie. Naturi was also good as Kim. I think the movie, since it had the influence of Biggie's mom as producer, built it up to make Big seem like he was a really changed guy. I doubt Biggie was as charasmatic as Jamal. Support this movie. YOu wont be disappointed.
the movie was wack to me.. a couple people behind me fell alseep during the movie at first the movie we was live and ppl in the movies was dancing and was rockin then the movie got really wack.. so i give th e movie 1 star sorry anytime ppl fall asleep its not a good look and the guy who played tupac (wack) looked nuttin like him.. lil kim got played. faith welll.... hmm.. and diddy well slim had his movies down pack! but i wont waste my money again
*** what the reviews say! See this movie for yourself. Granted, it is not the most accurate account of those events and there were a lot of characters left out like.....Jay Z, Lance "Un" Rivera, Charlie Baltimore, etc. It was good entertainment. Don't expect it to be to a ***. And for those who did not know who was who, that's probably because you are not old enough. The movie is about B.I.G., it's not about 2Pac, Junior Mafia, Lil Kim or Diddy. Dude that played BIG was good. He brought out a lot of the personality that made you like his music. So if you can kick down $10+ to see all these other *** *** movies by Tyler Perry or some other lame corn ball, you can go see this and take a trip down memory lane when real music was still getting made in the rap game. Doesn't anybody remember the 1st time they heard Juicy, Everyday Struggle, the 1 More Chance Remix (in a club) or the Get Money Remix. I mean *** how far have we gotten away from acknowledging good music and the people were behind it?
REAL REVIEW- EVEN IF I'M A 2PAC FAN THIS WAS A C+ BET OR VH1 MOVIE THE GUY PLAYING BIGGIE DID GOOD, EVERYBODY LOVES BIG BUT THIS MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE HONESTLY. NO DEPTH IN THE PLOT BAD ACTING FROM ANGELA BASSETT,2PAC GUY,PUFFY, LIL CEASE WAS JOKE WITH THAT KID AND THEY DID PLAY KIM. THEY BRUSH OFF THE EAST-WEST AND 2PAC WITHOUT DEPTH ON WHAT STARTED IT AND HOW IT BECAME WORST. THEY DON'T SHOW E-40 AND BIGGIE FEUD,SNOOP TRAILER GETTING *** UP IN NEW YORK,BIG SLEEPING ON PACS COUCH OR BEING ON TOUR WITH HIM. MAJOR RUMORS ON THE STREET OR WHY PAC FELT THAT WAY ABOUT THE ***. THEY LEFT OUT SO MUCH STUFF NOT TO MAKE BIG LOOK EVEN WORST. BUT WOULD HAVE A BETTER MOVIE IF THEY WOULD HAVE SET UP EVERY SERIOUS PART COMING UP IN THE FLICK.
@webfamous
Word, they should have showed when Jay & Big recorded Brooklyn's Finest, thats a Classic record right there! I aint see the movie yet, I might see it next week! But good for him if he does do the 25 Million! I could imagine that Magic Johnson Theaters was packed on 125th Friday ***!!! R.I.P. B.I.G.!!! We'll always love Big Poppa!!!
I LIKE BIGGIE,I GOT READY TO DIE AND LIFE AFTER DEATH TOP 10 IN ANYBODYS BOOK JUST FOR HIS RAW TALENT ALONE. I KNOW BIGGIE UPLIFTED NEW YORK WHEN THE WEST WAS STRONG. BUT DO PEOPLE LIKE FOR HIS SONGS SUBSTANCE OR SHAKING THEY'RE *** IN A CLUB. CRACK,***,MONEY,NY THEMES AND SAVING A INSECURE STATE AT THE TIME I GUESS HE LEFT A LOT OF POSTIVE SONGS TO BE REMEMBER AS A LEGEND? WHAT MAKES DIFFRENT HIM THESE OTHER DUDES RAPPING NOW.HE JUST HAD MORE RAPPING TALENT AND CHARM. CRAZY TO SEE THE MOVIE DO GOOD PUFFY AND FOX MAKE SOME MONEY OFF YOUR MOVIE.
IT WOULD HAVE MADE SOOOOOO.OOOOO MUCH MORE IF IT WAS PG-13..I UNDERSTAND THERE WERE A COUPLE OF LOVE SCENES BUT THEY NEEDED TO *** AT THE TEENAGERS BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY 14-17 YEAR OLDS WHO TRIED TO GET IN BUT COULDNT..SO MAYBE IT WOULD HAVE SOLD DOUBLE THAT AMOUNT IF IT WASNT RATED R...
JUST A THOUGHT..
The movie was very good and Gravy, the gentleman that played BIG did an excellent job especially being that this was his 1st acting role.
However...
The 3LW chic that played Lil Kim was TRASH! She didn't look like her, didn't sound like her, couldn't deliver her rhymes & should have been denied the part from out the gate ((SMFH))
I definitely understand why Kim was not co-signing the film... She got portrayed as being a true J.O (Jump Off) a straight BIRD and was just giving up wild PU$$Y
Angela Bassett, I love her as an actress and usually nails her parts but I don't feel she actually captured BIG's mom in the movie, she didn't stick to the character and her horrible Jamaican accent that she attempted here and there in the film-----> NO BUENO!
So on to Lil Cease..... LOL @ him being played by a lil boy throughout the whole movie, LOL @ him not ever getting older...
C.J, was also great in the film, he looks EVERYTHING like his dad.
Faiths portrayal was pretty good... there's a part when she shows @ a hotel room and all imma say is, I know Faith was not giving it up like how they showed it, Faith is noway a brawler! (LOL)
it was a scene in the movie where big warned pac about the dudes he was hanging around... so are they saying big knew who *** pac??? the more and more i think about the movie i didn't like it....
the only person that did a good job in the movie is the dude that played big
the 3lw chic was over acting... the *** scenes were unnecessary... they straight played kim...it could have been anybody having ***...y kim...y didn't they show big f**king faith... puff probably didn't say he wants to be the last man standing...threw it the movie because he is... another attempt of him trying to make people believe he is great
the movie was definitely on point and it should sell 25 mill because when i went last *** the therater was sooo overcrowded and the two of the shows were already sold out so we had to wait a while and then there was a big azz line all around the theater just to enter the show, it was so crazy but worth the wait great movie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CHI-TOWN CRAZY!!!!!!
MAN THAT MOVIE WAS PACKED WELL THE ONE I WENT TOO WAS AND YUMMERS F.MILL MALL WAS'NT SOLD OUT U SHOULD OF WENT THERE BUT THAT MOVIE ALSO HAD TEENAGERS THERE THEY HAD PEOPLE ALL AGES IN THERE.ANYWAY I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS AGAIN U CANT GET EVERYTHING OUT OF A 2HR MOVIE SO IT WAS GOOD FOR WHAT IT WAS,ANYWAY I CANT WAIT FOR THE DVD...
THE MOVIE WAS GOOD... KIM SHOULD BE MAD THE GIRL WAS NAKED IN ALMOST EVERY SCENCE AND BIGGIE PLAYED HER LIKE A HOE IN WHICH SHE WAS HELL SHE GAVE UP THE CAKES ON THE FIRST DATE, WAS SHOCKED HOW SOON HIM AND FAITH GOT MARRIED...DIDDY ACTED IN THE MOVIE HOW I IMAGINE HIM TO ACT ANYHUE IT WAS GOOD, NOW TIME FOR A MOVIE TO BE MADE ABOUT MY BABY PAC.
um what does beyonces movie have to do with this you all just wanted to bring that up and who really cares but let me get on some folks while i am on the subject!!
@his queen
um who's queen are you? you seem more fit for the servant role instead of royalty
@ssj3gokou24
Can you say to old to be on this website!!!! get your child molester lookin azz off and go take care of your family
@sexymama97
you need a push up bra those titties are sagging so low you can use them as pillows
speaking as a fan of both pac and big...
overall this was a really GOOD (not GREAT) movie. i thought the movie did what it was supposed to do, which was chronicle his life. big did not jot down his acutal thoughts so we are left with various accounts from people who are/were close to him.
in regards to the portrayal of lil kim... i say it is what it is... she was never a girlfriend of biggie, she did not bear any children with him (yes I know of the allege abortions), and she did not receive the honor of being called Mrs. Christopher Wallace. in essence, she was merely a friend with benefits. did their relationship go deeper than that? yes, the movie showed that... otherwise she wouldn't have been put on as an artist.
i do believe the movie gave us an introduction to her. so now what she could do with her 2 minutes of fame left is produce her own movie and accurately tell her side since she is in a better position that biggie is now. i would be very interested in her begining. after all, there must be some type of logical reasoning for her to continue to humilate herself in today's media.
I'm not from new york so i can say this; Biggie is waaaaaaaaaaaay overrated. he was good, but no way was he the greatest. Illmatic, southerplayalistic, death certificate, reasonable doubt and the chronic were better than ready to die, and life after death only had about 8 good songs. Nas, Kane, Scarface, and Ice cube are all better than Big. the movie was cool though
JUST FYI....alot of ya'll are blaming Puffy for certain character portrayals in the movie, but this movie was NOT produced by Sean Puffy P. Diddy Combs. It was produced by Volletta Wallace and Mark Pitts. Puffy had nothing to do with the financing, script, casting, etc...He's only making money off the soundtrack and the use of his likeness. This is Biggie's mom's story about Big...not Pac, Lil Kim, Faith, Jay Z, Puffy, E-40, etc...
There are only two rappers that you can argue about being the best ever, that is Biggie or Rakim. Since they have two different styles, you can't go wrong picking either one.
I'm tired of people acting like Tupac was Jesus or something. He was an average rapper at best. Yeah he made some positive songs, but his real life actions overshadowed all of that.
He was a clown to me. He became a thug after he did the movie Juice, and tried to be the character Bishop in real life. He was from the East Coast, but dissed east coast artist. He went to a performing arts high school with Jada Pinkett in Baltimore.
Furthermore he was never a thug, but negatively influenced millions of teens with his whole ''thug life'' movement. Even though he made a couple of positive records, he was a negative inluence on the youth. Every time I saw him on television he was always doing stupid ***.
I admit that he was a talented guy, but stop all this acting like he was Jesus and ***. Some of you dudes be acting borderline *** with the way y'all be praising him!!
@RicFlair Y'ALL NEW YORK LOVING DUDES ARE INSECURE ALWAYS HAVE PUT DOWN OTHER OTHERS TO MAKE UR BOYS LIKE GOOD THAT WAY THE EASE_WEST STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. iF THEY WAS THE S**t ppl would praise them the same way rakim can't even make a modern day hit 15 years ago or today. AND BIGGIE WAS A PREP SCHOOL KID WHO RAPPED ABOUT CRACK,***,MONEY IN 95% OF HIS SONGS. AND SOLD DRUGS SO THAT *** AIN'T SAINT EITHER.JUST LIKE THE CATS OUT TODAY INSECURE NY *** ALWAYS FUNNY TO ME.
I loved Pac and Big. I think Pac was accurately portrayed in the movie he was part thug, part philanthropist. Big was accurately portrayed, he was a womanizer with a soft side. The story was good and coming from a person who was in their late teens during that time, even Lil Kim was portrayed correctly. She was insecure and gave all of her love to the wrong person. (that would explain all of the skin bleaching and nose jobs she did to appease Big's love for lighter skinned women- Faith and Charlie Baltimore) I think the movie did a great job explaining all of the drama in their world that was happening during that time. (mid 90's)
Ric Flair get the f**ck outta here! I don't think nobody blowing Pac up no more than what they are doing with Big... Big had two albums rapped about the same stuff any other rapper raps about and people want to give him the title as the best rapper... if that *** makes New York *** feel better keep saying... cause at the end of the day it doesn't mean a *** thing...
@chocolatemocha
what are you talking about Pac movie/*** Ressurection came out in 2003 and was a *** great ***, it was also nominated for an Oscar, and what do mean he doesn't have the finance? Please don't you know Pac's Mother is paid for life, the man has sold more albums in history, he was in forbes in 2007. the man is still making money.
@RicFlair
please,TUPAC is A GOD....and you should know by now you should not believe the media, before you judge this man do your research on him.Is that all of what you saw of him? WOW LOL
You just made my day, He portrayed himself as that in order to reach the community, he called himself a thug , because that's how America views every black man in this society as thugs, that was his ideology behind t.h.u.g.l.i.f.e. ,The Hate U Gave Little Infants F**ks Every One, Also because he wanted to connect with the street guys, and the best way was to become 1, the same way God became human to connect with us in the best way possible,(ie. Jesus) In time you people will understand what he did for his people, he portrayed what was going on in his community to show how bad it is so it can be stopped. To tell you the honest truth I really wish he was still alive, I learned so much from this individual. He really inspired me to believe in myself, he inspired me to go back to school, he inspired me to receive knowledge, and that learning is a never ending journey. He inspired me to think outside the box and love my race when I didn't at one time, He inspired me to love unconditional, he taught me to be more observant of people actions than the words from their mouth, words really mean nothing, if your offended by a word then you make it powerful, if your not offended then the word means nothing, so the power is in you not the word....I received a spiritual connection from him....I cannot put it in words how this human being changed my life, and yes he is my Jesus Christ........What Tupac did was basically try and show people that we're all in the struggle together: the struggle to make good lives for ourselves and solve the problems that we face.
TUPAC:THE GHANDI OF POLITICAL HIP HOP
Of course some of his songs are regarding 'thug life', but a song is basically a story, and all stories have a moral at the end; not an immoral...
He tried to teach us that the way we are living is detrimental. Through his various art forms: poetry, songs, films, etc: he tried to raise awareness and give hope to disillusioned people.
Simply put he was a leader, and a great leader at that.
Tupac wanted to lead people to the truth, and he did that to a degree.
P.S if cursing and arrest is all of what you saw of him then I'm sorry to hear that..
LMAO @ you clowns still arguing over *** that happened almost 15 years ago. Bottom line is both of those n1ggers deserved to die. The Lord took those N1ggers out because they were no-good. Those two n1ggers brought nothing to the table but death and destruction to our community and they got exactly what they deserved. STOP IDOLIZING THESE CLOWNS....THESE N1GGERS WERE POISION...AND THEY NEEDED TO BE GOTTEN RID OF...Hopefully the Lord will take out more of these silly @ss rappers that are destroying the lives of our children.........GROW THE *** UP AND STOP SLOBBING ON DEAD MEN'S KNOBS THAT YOU NEVER MET...........STOP BEING MEN WORSHIPPERS.....
2TheBestEver
what did you say, you ignorant baboon? Do not ever in your life disrespect TUPAC, I will hunt you down and slay your ***, you need to educate yourself, read a freaking book and get some knowledge about this man before you say anything . If you don't respect TUPAC then you don't respect GOD.
@timewilltell
EAT-A-***
The Lord didn't respect Tupac, That's why he took that silly @ss *** out. STOP SLOBBING ON THESE ***'S *** AND GROW UP ALREADY....YOU *** GROUPIE.....
We live and we die that's our life. TUPAC was and still an inspiration in this world dumb fuc*. Apparently you know nothing about this beautiful human being that stood up for the people. Get an education NIGG*R!
@timewilltell
You're a clown...slobbing on a *** that you don't know. Tupac an inspiration????????? you can't be serious...was Ambition of a ridah insprational?????? What about hail mary???? Maybe Hit em up was a great inspirational song??????I won't even go into the rest of his poisonous venom....You N1ggers kill me only picking out the couple of songs and poems he had that were so-called positive, but you never want to look at the negative *** he said and did. calling black women *** and hoes. this *** was convicted of sexually assaulting a female....And this is the *** you call an inspiration...LMAO.. you N1ggers are pathetic......I know what you are going to say....Pac didn't rape nobody....well ok...he might have not raped her, but he was responsible for what went down..he even admitted that in his book that Vibe produced...He set the women up so his boys can run a train on her....wow....some inspiration....would you let you daughter be around a dude like that? are you a hoe????? well I can't tell if you are a guy or a girl from your avi....maybe you are both...or maybe you go both ways, which would explain why you svcking on a dead mans *** so-hard... *** you don't know Pac and never met him...so get off his *** and let him Rot-In-Peace......
You compare Pac to MLK and Kennedy......wow..How stupid do you sound???.......And yes the lord took them out too DUMMY... I leave you with this *** boy or *** *** or whatever the *** you are...oh yeah I forgot you are a dead man's groupie..LMAO....You probably got the ***'s pic on your wall......LMAO...GROW THE *** UP DUMMY............
Hears some quotes from the Bible........
1 Samuel, chapter 2:6: The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
Deuteronomy, chapter 32:39: See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
Now *** boy or *** ***......ask yourself...this question..was the Lord Justified in Taking that *** that you Love so much out at the age of 25?
You know I could go back and fourth with you but I would like to get my point across.
Everyone has a dark side. Afterall Moses was the Prophet of all prophets, but he was also a MURDERER that was chosen by GOD to lead the children of Israel out Egypt into the Promise Land. LOL, so what's your point?
Wait a minute, check this out, King James I of England, who authorized the translation of the now famous King James Bible was a *** pedophile. Again, God was still magnified.
So you never know how God will use you to accomplish HIS purpose on earth so that HIS Kingdom will be GLORIFIED.
So yes, Tupac Shakur was indeed a PROPHET and a Man of God who struggled with the enemy of his soul. he is a modern day philosipher,poet, killed by the worlds elite and US gov't cause when he spoke, people listened. They never seen nothing like it since Martin Luther King Jr. and JFK. He was our black Jesus on earth.
@timewilltell
Tupac a Prophet????? LMAO....Don't fool yourself with such utter foolishness....what did Tupac Prophesy?????????
Tupac was nothing but a plain old ***....Bottom line........
let's see what The bible said what the prophets do:
Jeremiah, chapter 28:8: The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. **************************************
Don't play yourself and put that *** Pac in the same category with the great prophets of the Bible.......
The plan The Lord had for that *** was to be put to death...period end of story......show me where the prophets set women up to get raped? Show me where the prophets tried to divide the Black community by having bi-coastal beefs?.....Wow some inspiration......I bet your children would love a *** like that.........
NEWSFLASH DUMMY: Jesus was BLACK....Learn to read sometime...And Tupac was no Jesus..
Revelation, chapter 1:1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must *** come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
13: And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14: His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15: And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Daniel, chapter 10:5: Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: 6: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
You need to stop with the comparisons...cause you are really sounding very stupid at this point....Keep on comparing him to Christ and you might end up like Pac...Burned up into ashes.......
