Everything and Everyone was truly BEAUTIFUL yesterday! Just to see everyones reaction not just from America, but from all over! Wow! I am still speechless. @Badyellabroad- Yeah girl I was kind of taken back by the huge presence of celb-*** but their performances were very classy and befitting to the President and first family. None of them cursed, and Jay-Z didn't once throw in the *** word which was nice. He tried to clean up for this act and that was good to see.
I was mesmerized by Michelle and Barack to even pay attention to the performers gowns. I must say though, SHAKIRA was STUNNING!!! She's lost some weight and her hair was GORGEOUS! Beyonce's "AT last" was mediocre as was her Sears ball gown. Mary was SMOKING and I FELT her energy and excitement. Faith HIll.. Blah.. Stevie and Sting of course are legends and are used to performing at lavish events. Alicia and Mariah WERE on FIRE!! I miss the talented SISTERS that can SANG! When I heard Mariah hitting every note to Hero, and ALicia belting out "no One" I longed for the REAl R and B days of some fifteen years ago.
Mary, Alicia, and Mariah BROUGHT the HOUSE DOWN. Their voices are immaculate, strong, beautiful, and melodic!!!!

I agree that sometimes I get Beyonce fatigue, she's everywhere, her songs are always on the radio and always hearing her and seeing her can get downright annoying. My suggestion to some of the people here that are tired of her. Listen to the jazz radio stations instead of pop radio, avoid the award shows and definitely avoid Mediatakeout for a few weeks and that usually will get rid of Beyonce fatigue for a while

I think Mariahs' performance was amazing it was a little shaky in the beginning but she cleaned it up towards the end. Everybody sounded great to me. One of my favorite parts was when Ray Romano came out. I taped the Ball I wish I would've taped the actual Inauguration.

Diana ross i remember her wearing kneee dresses but she sung she didnt dance and her performances were classy she was not booty popping or having wardrobe malfuntions and to me that is what makes a true diva. I've noticed most people who like to go to clubs and parties like beyonce but older people with a better mature mindset dont because tey know the quality of music as far as making it for the right reasons. I highly doubt if beyonce wore long dresses like whitney she would be half the star she i now because people only know her as a performer and a *** icon. Yes whitney was on drugs and mariah went crazy but at the sam time NONE OF YOU KNOW WHAT BEYONCE IS TRULY DOING. Im upset because this should be about brack not praising someone who is trying to take up any amount of spotlight to get publicty and if she ws not trying to get the attention she obviously getting than she wouldnt have offered her services she would have been patient like the OTHER CELEBS AND BARACK WOULD HAVE ASKED HER TO SING BEFORE SHE WOULD EVEN HAVE HAD TO OPEN HER MOUTH. just because someone doesnt like a singer or performer doesnt mean they are hating you guys it just simply means their taste in todays society is different. there are probably performers that we like that you dont like it is what it is. But there are many UNDERRATED SINGERS who do not recieve the attention they should. Which is another thing why beyonce is so well know and thats because she has GOOD MARKETING with good marketing u can acheive lots. I was HUGE FAN OF BRITNY SPEARS and yes we all know the girl cant sing but why was she soooo popular? she had good marketing and she was under great management. Leona Lewis Amel Larrieux both have OUTSTANDING WONDERFUL VOICES they dont get nearly as much attention as beyonce and to me they sound way much better. and im just being honest. WHITNEY MARIAH DIANA GLADYS TINA PATTI AND MISS ARETHA all earned their way through the music industry and they didnt have to do have the stuff that most performers today do which is why for many elegant events as this one many wanted to just see maybe ALICIA KEYS AND JENNIFER HUDSON because they carry themselfs classy. Beyonce does not have many songs to choose from because their all the same their either about *** IN THE CLUB OR ***, yes she has created wonderful anthems for us ladies but noones gonna play singe ladies like they do whitney houstons " I will always love you". YOU CAN NOT GO TO AN AUDITION AND SING ANY OF BEYONCES SINGS EXCEPT MAYBE DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE BECAUSE THATS A BEAUTIFUL SONG OR BE WITH YOU OR WOMAN LIKE ME OR IF I WERE A BOY(MAYBE). do you all understand where some people are coming from when they say things lik this because i do.
i get what two of the other people were saying when they feel on all the beyonce thread Miss Guess jeans u make smart comments but this site is up here to state different opinions i have seen many beyonce thread with people praising her eery movement every word so just like people r entitled to post how much they adore this girl people should have the freedom to post how they dislike her. i should feel offended people are talking about mariah carey sounding bad. she did bad on one performance what about all the years mariah spent making songs we could relate to. when i hear cant let go i cry that song really touches me. i am not a hater i give credit were credit is due and me wanting to be a singer in this industry i pa attention to what gets attention and what doesnt. music will never be the ame sadly
This whole weekend should have been about BARACK OBAMA. Barack is more famous than all of these celebs and the good thing about Barack is he is promoting change and has inspired others to wanna do the same. Mihelle Obama shoud have also ben the HIGHLIGHT of everyones talk this is a classy woman who represents what a true American Woman should. She is successfl with a succesful husband BEAUTIFUL kids my goodness her kids are so beautiful and her heart is in the right place and she hs a reat education background and has went to top of the line schools. Let that be a focus. Let the change we are facing be a focus not who was wearing what or who is better than who lets focus on who the attention was supposed to be about this week. to late for that cause the weeks almost over see how we undereducate ourselfs. I think we should study ourself and work on improving what as people we need to fix do the best ou guys possible can to get atlest half the amount of attention that u give star excuse me everyday people who have publicist and money cause all u doing is PAYING BEYONCE MARIAH AND MARY J's bills while u probably at home strugging to make ends meet.
