Rodney Hill Jr., known as rapper “Rocko the Don,” was sentenced Monday to two days in jail and four days of community service for hitting a young woman in 2007.EDITOR'S UPDATE - There's a WHOLE lot to this story ... wait for the update tomorrowDeKalb County Solicitor General Robert James said Hill pleaded no contest to battery in a Feb. 11, 2007, altercation at the Velvet Room. A young woman said Hill grabbed her hair and punched her in the face, causing a black eye.
Superior Court Judge Barbara Mobley ordered Hill to perform 32 hours of community service for the Samuel L. Jones Boys and Girls Club.
Hill will be on probation for a year and must take an anger management course.

I think that Monica needs to reevalute ASAP. I read her interview where she denied the whole thing. My question is how would she know that Rocko didn't do it if she said that she was in the bathroom when the whole incident occurred.
I've never really had too good of a feeling about this Rocko character. I saw her show that she did on Peachtree TV and Rocko seems a like a lazy man who's trying to be a rapper like most black men who aren't doing anything else with their lives. And she's just sittin up there, playing house and financially supporting him and the kids. I feel like this, why aren't they married yet? They're engaged and they've got the house, the kids, and nothing but time b/c both of them aren't doing anything. Maybe Monica should take this incident as a sign that she needs to stop playing house with this dude and decide whether or not she should be with him as more than his baby momma and the breadwinner. If you ask me, I don't think that they should be together but hey, that's her life.

Monica and I are the same age, I grew up listening to her. I loved Monica, but, I have second thoughts now. I thought she was intelligent, until she made the comment saying" *** out to the baby daddies". I still like her music, but her mentality is screwed up. Well let me start off by saying that no man should hit a woman, but a woman should keep her hands to herself as well. When I was in cooking school, a friend of mine got into a argument with this girl, she started it, they raised their voices, she pushed him hard and grabbed him by the jacket and she pushed him into the wall. She kept saying, "hit me n*gg*", "I want you too", he didnt. So, the girl went to get a butcher knife and we had to pull the girl to the side. She wanted him to hit her so bad and my friend is built, he would have smashed her face in if he did. Some women provoke men and then try to act innocent and also act like a victim. When I stayed in the hood when I was younger, I have seen women jump up in a mans face and punch them and scratch them and everything and the man takes it, not all men. One girl in high school jumped up in class mate's face and punched him, he punched her back. A man is stronger than a woman physically, so dont run up on a man, you dont know what mood he might be in. And we really dont know if she provoked him or not
Monica seems like a strong woman, so I believe she knows her Fiance's character. I believe the girl provoked him, even though he was wrong as hell. But know woman deserves that, but at the same time, dont go jumping up in a man's face and hitting him, spitting on him, or pushing him. Respect is a two way thing. The original story was that the girl was acting like a groupie. When the guys ignored her, she began provoking them. Monica asked her to leave the group alone. Then she started on Monica and chose to single Rocko out b/c that Mo's man. It wasn't security, but a man attempted to pick her up and move her. She hit the guy and he hit her back. Of course, the famous names will be fingered.
