: If you thought that the Jay Z-Dame Dash feud seemed a little too personal - so did we. MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that entertainment insider Choke No Joke claims that a love triangle with singer Aaliyah is what caused all the drama between Jay and Dame.
Here's what he said in this week's issue of Hip Hop Weekly:
Both Jay and Dame was involved with a certain R&B singer, who I'm not gonna say her name out of respect 'cause she ain't around to defend herself, but I believe that was a part of the initial friction.DANG!!!I was seeing Jay with her back around 2000, then Dame was with her after. All you have to do is look at the movie they did, Death of a Dynasty.
In the movie they were fighting over a model. In real life she was a model, but singing is what she was known for first.

I don't exactly know if this is true but I will say that I saw this on another website. According to the other website, Aaliyah was involved with Jay Z @ one point and time, and also according to this website, Aaliyah was not the sweet angel that everyone thought she was. I disagree with most of ya'll. Aaliyah was a woman who made a clear decision to date one person and when it did not work out to date someone else. Its not disrespectful to talk about,its the truth whether you like it or not. Its not like anyone accused her of slingin rock or anything like that she was dating. I think it's pointless to tell ppl not to talk about her. She is a legend and someone revered worldwide. I personally could care less who she was with because her artistry was my concern. She was running the game for 7yrs. Her death was a spiritual murder. She was murdered by ppl who just hated and couldn't give respect to someone who was beautiful, gifted, talented and smart. It's a rare combination. I just want her legacy to be more than who she was involved with. Her music and videos are some of the most influential, innovative creations of my generation. I am confident she would have been more sucessful than beyonce because she was more well rounded. Her position in the industry is solidified and engraved for lack of a better word. AALIYAH is a name no-one of our culture will soon forget. And as time lingers her Legend will increase. The black Marilyn Monroe. A *** Icon. Do yall understand what I am saying.
