Here’s what he told journalist Clay Cane:
Interviewer CLAY CANE: You did an episode of LL Cool J's "In the House" back in the nineties. How was that working with him?We’re gonna give LL a little slack on this. That show was more than 10 years ago.RU PAUL: It was hideous and horrible. He made it so difficult because he was so afraid. He was afraid that he made everyone else on the set not enjoy it themselves either. In fact, when I was ready to leave the show because he was ignorant, they all said, "Look, please stay, we have been dealing with his fear for so long that it's become unbearable."
Just last week he had gotten into an altercation with someone about the OJ verdict because he believed that OJ was innocent and something happened on the set. So, I stayed, I did my episode, but to do this work, to excel on this planet, you have to be almost part therapist. Part psychology major to understand what's behind people's motives.
He had said some really nasty stuff, he was all surly at the table reading -- just fearful and ignorant. I understand, but they're not paying me that much money, I don't want to be around it. But, they begged me to stay and I did it. I'm glad I did.
Hopefully he’s grown up a lot since then…

Ok. I don't want to step on anyone's toes but Rupaul is like 6'4'' barefoot and 6'9'' in heels. His height is intimidating alone. Now add the fact that he's a 6'9'' black man, rocking a platinum BLONDE wigs, 10lbs of make-up and faux lashes AND a sequin DRESS!!! I'm not *** but that is a whole lot for the average person to take in.

I guess his fear of being exposed alluded to his behavior.....(*** shame though) After being in the entertainment industry most of his life and is constantly surrounded by *** folk all of the time, LL should be a bit more compasionate. 1) If that was a true experience Rupaul had then that was his experience, none of us were there at the time and there is always three sides to every story: his version, your version, and the truth!
2) Not every *** person want straight people and not every *** person is looking to change the world from being straight to *** EITHER and to add you can't convert, quote on quote, "THE WILLING".....
3) Acceptance and Respect are 2 totally different things people get confused. No one has to except anything ***, straight, or otherwise, but we all as human beings should be Respected
4) Being Straight is NOT a measure or symbol of manhood, and if you believe that then you're totally ignorant! Taking care of your business and life and being a law abiding citizen is being a man....So we sure do have a hell of a lot of black men in our community then since a host of these men lay up with women, create kids, and then don't take care of them, so I guess that's the new definition of being a man as long as you are straight, LOL
4) It amazes me still how people quote the Bible but when none of us and I do mean none of us are living up to every law and statute that is written within the Bible.....If you read the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah was not the only places God destroyed... 7) Also just as a last thought be careful what you say and how you treat people...You never know who may be placed in your life to give you, yor last piece of bread or be a friend to you in a time of need
