: It appears that political commentator Tavis Smiley is looking for more Black men to hate on. You’ll recall that during Barack Obama’s historic presidential race, Tavis did everything in his power to turn public support against the President.
But now MediaTakeOut.com has learned that in an interview with Sri Lankan pop singer M.I.A., he called rappers Jay Z, Kanye West and TI NEGROES.

He always says Negroes. Tavis is just Oldschool. He fails to realize how ignorant and divisive his messages come across. He loves to say terms like “black folk” and “negroes”. For many blacks that became fascinated with Obama as a black leader, Tavis comes off as condescending with this type of lingo and we welcomed a refreshing change. In one breath, there is this love and defense of the black race against the evil intentions of the white man. “The white man is out to get us, he proclaims, he is the ever present boogey man under the bed”. Run for the hills….! Later the message changes to “Negroes we have got to stop blaming and depending on white folk, let me tell you what’s wrong with us…blah, blah, blah Then yet,On the other hand, in the next sentence he'll diss the “negroes” if we don’t walk to the beat of his drum. If we act a little"too" black, or not black enough, a little too ghetto, a little too educated or a little too ignorant. Tavis will always remain in that bubble that he created for himself, because like so many, he is not diverse enough in his thinking. People are people. And even if the intent is good, the message is flawed because of the delivery. So…along comes Obama, with a happy medium. He addresses and acknowledges the needs of the black community, yet is intelligent enough to realize we need the assistance of the white community in order to unite and accomplish things. SO, you really have to be objective and open minded. Realize that not all of Obama’s agenda is bad. For example, some of the pork spending you speak of is to create jobs, in an effort to rebuild the economy.. and to advance the economy toward less dependency on foreign oil and other substancies. Bush had a stimulus package too.Do not forget that it all started with him , and they approved it. The problem is he failed to include the proper regulations to better control wallstreet and the banks, which are the ones who have spent out of control! Instead of bettering the economy . They are using your tax payer dollars for bonuses and to pay off their financial debts, and then come back for more. How do we regulate this? So this type of behavior is what is driving us toward socialism. The world is evolving and changing. Obama has to adjust with what the times have become. He has to do something about Wallstreet. It’s sad but we are going to have to regulate these higher powers because they do not have the ethics or the decency to put our money to effective use. They are making themselves richer, while the economy falls deeper into a recession.

Stop hatin' on Tavis. Media Take Out need to do a little investigating. Tavis is just sick of the "stupid stuff." Tavis, Tom Joyner and others are working hard to bring us even more together as a people, and to lift up our culture before the world in a positive manner, so that we can continue to prosper.
He had every right to question Barack and any other leader that comes along with regards to their agenda for the African American community. Tavis is fighting for reparations for African Americans, not just handing out checks, but ensuring that the government target African American communities like a laser beam. Providing government paid vouchers so that our children can go to college and ensuring that our communities are being built up with businesses and housing, and that we receive government paid health care for those who can't afford it, along with a host of other things - all paid for by the government as a settlement for the horrific discrimination that we've endured in the country.
We live in a great country and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but we can be better, and it looks as if we're headed in that direction, but African Americans are definitely owed. The Native Americans and Japanese and everybody else has gotten reparations. It's time.
This brother is just tired of everybody trying to undermine African Americans and he wants to make sure that African American leaders have our issues high on their agendas.
