: According to one of MediaTakeOut.com’s faithful readers, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas disrespected R&B singer Shanice.
Apparently, Fergie was performing in front of a star-studded crowd in the Bahamas when this happened:
During one of Fergie's numbers, the pop star proceeded to pass the mic around to different celebrities in the audience. Eventually, the singer approached Actor/Comedian Flex Alexander who was one of the players in the tournament and is one of the top 10 celebrity golfers.Oh … no no no no NOOOO she didn’t!!! If that meth smoking piece of trailer trash tried to snatch the mic out our hands … it would be on and CRACKIN!!!Admitting that he is not the best of singers, Flex suggested that Fergie hand the mic to wifey, Pop/R&B sensation Shanice. WHAT'D HE DO THAT FOR, because all hell broke loose when.... Fergie obliged, much to her chagrin.
Shanice, although put on the spot and with her normal shyness, proceeded to give a modest sampling of what she can do with a mic, which garnered her a standing ovation from the star-studded audience.
Apparently [this upset] Fergie into a fit of rage to the point of snatching the mic out of the bashful diva's hand. Fergie then proceeded to take out a few dollars and stuff it down Shanice's bra, in a pathetic attempt to further discredit the lady.
Of course Shanice is more of a lady than the chicks here at MediaTakeOut.com. Cause Shanice just accepted the applause and sat back in her seat.

knowing Fergies personality.... this was her way of saying "D^mn, that was good". I don't think she was dissing her, I believe that she was complimenting her.... that is what I was thinking as I read this story. I am sure that you had to be there to understand that it was not a put down, totally the opposite. I bet Fergie had no idea of who Shanice was and her skills, so it probably pleasantly surprised her. Now I'm not sure if she holds back on the vocals because she's told to or she just can't do it anymore. All in all, although Shanice is a phenomonal singer I just don't see why Fergie would act like such a lil punk. Much to OUR chagrin, Fergie's career at this point completely blankets Shanice's (and not rightfully so either)
