Believe it not, Some poeple have a wide array of interests and tend to gravitae towards other who are cultured and feel the same. First off Scarlett is physically attractive, I'll give you that, but homegirl is a mediocre actress and she cant sing for ***. (Anyone heard one of her garbage songs?) She can carry a tune but by no means can she touch Idina Menzel's vocal power and acting skills.
As for getting with someone who will give a "sista" a run for her money, this chick here will give most women (white/black/asian/latino) in general a run for their money. I mean most regular chicks anyway. She is successful, talented and seems like a genuinely good person. I have never heard people say negative things about her personality-wise.
Any man would be happy to have a woman who is together the way she is and gets the respect from her professional community the way she does. A fat ***, nice [EXPLETIVE] and pretty face can only get you so far if you can back that up with something more substantial. It may get you a few good years of modeling/porn or mediocre celeb status, but in the long run you are just an industry jump off.
Besides Taye and this chick have history, longevity and commonality. Him being Black and her being white doesnt negate the fact that they both have a love of the arts, esp theater and they seem to have a genuine true love and respect and admiration for each other.

She was nominated for a Tony for her "Rent" role and won for her role in "Wicked". I got to see her in that role live when I took my daughter to see the show. She blew me away. I instantly became a fan!
She also played Patrick Dempsey's girlfriend in the movie "Enchanted" alongside Amy Adams. If you saw the flick, she was the chick with the black curly hair.
Most of the Bway circuit has nothing bad to say about her. She is on top of her game. She is like the current Bway sweetheart.
