Suspect Jakes made no attempt to conceal his erect penis from Detective X, or any other person who might be offended by his actions. There were people walking and jogging at the park on the jogging trail next to the wooded area during the time of this offense. Detectives X and X both identified themselves as Dallas Police Officers. Detectives X and X followed suspect Jakes to his vehicle where a valid Texas Drivers License was obtained for positive identification.
yeah...okay! like i said yesterday and was correct...he got busted out by undercover cops! but he was doing what *** men are known to do...meet up in wooded parks for hookups! he wasn't in a place that was inappropriate...and i'm not passing judgement because again...his dad is the pastor, not him! we all fall *** and slip but only have to answer to God at the end of the day...nobody else!

Depending on how you answered any of these questions, then you are perverted in the eyes of God and you have no right to judge anyone else for anything that they have done. If you walk this earth, you are just as sinful as the *** and need to get on your knees and ask for forgiveness. Living a God centered life is something most people are too afraid to do. At some point during every day, everyone is a hypocrite. Jermaine Jakes is just as human as anyone else and deserves prayer and mercy. Hold the bible, quran, and torah up to yourself as a mirror. If the reflection on your end is darker that the bible, quran, or torah, then you need to stop making rude, hateful, and sinful comments about others and clean up your life.

There is definitely a link bewteen the lack of educational motivation, the increased sexual immorality, and the violence within our communities.
The solution must come from both ends - the women and men.
Men need to be sexually responsible - wrap it up/do not be promiscuous and marry the mother of your children (stop having multiple baby mommas) and don't get easily discouraged. Dream and strive to acheive the 'impossible'!
Women need to stand by the men who do well. Not promoting ballers and demeaning the rational one who stays out of trouble and may not make as much as you do, but tries hard and does what he can for himself, his woman, and his children (and his mom). We need to keep him motivated and encourage him. And we need not be promiscuous, having children by various men. Dream and strive to have a strong family that can withstand every obstacle.

There is a responsibility among our women in the community as well as the men. You're right, the feminist activism and mindset has done much damage to our community, but you cannot blame the deterioration of the black community entirely on women and slavery.
Although slavery has done much damage to our self-analization, you can't say the same for many African nations experiencing similar problems. We have to change ourselves. Each and every one of us has the power to control and dictate our own outcome, despite what others will do to either promote or belittle us.
There are both external factors and personal responsibility that play a role in each of our lives. I am not naive. I could have started life with many more resources/opportunities than were presented to me. But ultimately, I am the master of my destiny. And each man/woman has the power to overcome anything, if we learn to stop pointing fingers and blaming others and do what we each can to reverse our situation.

First, I understand what you're trying to say and I'm not an advocate of condemning anyone for anything. To me, that's just not my place.
But so many people lack understanding of the bible. Let me just explain this briefly and you can decide whether or not you want to do the research yourself.
There are two parts of the bible. One that explains the old covenent - the 10 commandments, the sins, the rituals, priesthood, etc.. And the one that explains the new covenent, which makes the old covenent obsolete - irrelevant.
Unfortunately, many Christian churches still preach and practice under the old covenant (in the Old Testament) not having full understanding of what the bible is saying. This has confused so many people around the world, and it's ultimately the reason why so many have turned away from Christianity, considering it to be a control mechanism. In essence, it was used in that manner. But the truth still lies within, they just fail to teach it, perhaps because they don't understand it.
Only if you want to learn more about what the bible REALLY says to us - today, start by reading the entire book of Hebrews, especially chapters 6, 7, and 8.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone about your personal beliefs, but too many people try to discuss the bible without having actually read it themselves - including Christians. Don't trust any man to teach you what you need to know.

Well I have read the bible twice from front to end in my 27 years. I do understand the bible speaks on more than those few things..however I was just trying to make a quick point...simplifying it actually.
However I unlike a lot of people I have studied a few other religons other than the one of the west...including Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and Islam. So the only reason I speak on that is to dumb down to people who only know a couple of things about holy bible. so thats why I only pin pointed those two things because sometimes you have to take it down a notch to some peoples level just to TRY and get them to have a simple understanding. I have read several hundered threads on MTO over the past year and realized you cant really speak with high intellegnece to too many people on here....so I do not want u to think I'm "religion or bible illeteriate.
If you study all religons you will see there where many gods. Before King Akhenaten (king Tutankhuatens father)came along and changed that and put all gods together as one.
SO my thing is. peopole should not be so literal with religon or bible stories and taking them has hard core facts. Its good to study outside what you learned growing to really undestand the roll religon really plays in all our lives.
To sum it up. They are all stories and guidlines put in place for us to follow by man. Point blank. People should really dig into religon. Dig deeper than what you are taught. There so so many things out there u just have to open ur minds and hearts to it. Things will make so much more sense with life then.

I am a member of the Potters House. I feel that just because jermaine is his son does not mean you can critize the father. In the bible it says that a child is held responsible for his own actions when he turns 13. I am pretty sure that u guys have done something wrong in your life like that but just didnt get caught. One monkey dont stop no show, that is exactly what the enemy wants to discourage people from going to Church to recieve the word God has for them. Everywhere you go there will be something going on but there are many good Church homes to go to that can enrich your life if you dont look at the man delivering the message but at what God is trying to do in our lives. I do not condone this type of sexual behavior or preference. It hurt my heart for years and I was in denial as I watched my son. And it is also a choice to decide whether u want to give in to the pull or not. I am a man who is in Christ and trying my best to live the word and I can say to you that only the power of God can break strongholds only if the person truly wants to be freed from it.. I offer my prayers to you and your family... I have just learned about this website and can say that the lack of understanding and compassion in most of these comments is not surprising.. "The weapons of our warfare is not carnal, but spiritual".. so when you have a story posted like this particular one, "The father of lies" and the Accuser of the Brethren" will take full advantage of it and do his best to dissuade anyone and everyone who will listen that Christ and everyone who serves Him is a fraud which is one of his many objectives..
