: It appears that R&B singer Chris Brown is taking his first step towards changing his life around. MediaTakeOut.com just received word that on Monday � he began taking anger management classes in California.

The troubled R&B singer, who was arrested two weeks ago on suspicion of making criminal threats against girlfriend Rihanna, attended his first class in Glendale, Calif., on Monday afternoon.This is a good thing � NO????According to a source, Brown opted for anger management at the behest of his spin doctor, Michael Sitrick. "Chris doesn't actually have to go by law," our insider tells us, "but he believes it will make him look better to the public, and he wants to try to get in a few classes before March 5," his court date.

If he does not feel the actual " need " for anger management and is only doing this to get in a few..before the judge hits him up..or to "appease" the fans..then how does that really help him as a person? He is just going through the motion. Like repeat drunk driving offenders do....(sigh)
Change starts from the heart. With repentance. He has to feel sorry for what he did. He has to first see that it is wrong. He and his fans have to first stop saying...well "she him me first".

As for the early counseling he should have recieved from childhood, that was his mother responsible to ensure that happened, he was just a minor. People the boy is only 19 years old! His mother and his biological father needs to be held accountable for that, that's why their the parents and he was the child. Things are so much easire sad then done, when it comes down to what he should have done. I experienced abuse at the tender age of 16 years old and it is most definitely an emotional and terrible situation to be in but both of these young people can emerge as better people not only for themselves but for someone else.I was that young girl looking inthe mirror with two black eyes, busted lip and contusions, so I'm not speaking from what I think I know. I'm speaking from what I experienced. I'm saddened for the both of these young people and wish tem both well. WHo they are today does not always mean who they will become tomorrow! But you can't compare TI's crime. TI did not hurt anyone. Chris Brown did. He beat her pretty bad.. Ti's bodyguard was purchasing the arsenal for him initially and gave TI up in a plea deal. The weapons (although a bit extreme) were intended for security. NOT to *** up, rob or kill innocent people.
Ti's bests friend had been recently murdered..and he had legitimate fear and security concerns to warrant a want and/or need for weapons.
The right to bear arms is still a valid human right that should not be taken away from anyone, even a convicted felon!
He should have been able to go out a get a legal and registered gun...again...i repeat a legal and registered gun. This will avoid all of this illegal weapon pocessions charges..and bogus excuses to lock a black man down that needs to protect himself for whatever reason.
If Rihanna is as violent as Chris Brown why is'nt she taking anger management classes as well? I don't condone violence against women or anyone else for that matter. However, I do beleive that each individual should take responsibility for his or her actions. If she hit him, which people seem to beleive that she did. That's a step in the right direction for Chris. They both need to take classes and therapy.
I am sure this will go well with the courts when he goes in March. Since they see Chris taking this step they will probably make him continue his classes and pay a fine.
I am sure his lawyer told him it would go better with the courts if he did this. I only hope Chris is REALLY taking these classes to change himself and not just to get a lighter sentence in court.
When you are arrested they dont put a charge on you right away. You will have to attend court first and then they will let you know. So stop asking why wasnt he charged with. They are not going to tell the public anything because it is none of our business.
Plus if you feel he didnt do anything why does it feel the need to attend anger management classes maybe because he may have been at fault perhaps?

He SHOULD be able to. ANYone that feels a threat to their lives for whatever reason should be allowed to purchase whatever arsenal they need to defend themselves as long as it is registered and leaves a papertrail to you in case you illegally kill someone..in lieu of self defense. TI was dogged for his weapons charges at first too...until more and more of the story came out and smypathy increased.
I have little sympathy for Chris Brown, thus far, because he does not seem sorry. He comes off as arrogant and self serving. Per this article..it appears as though he is only taking classes to appease the judge..and the fans..not any real guilt.
TI is doing the reality show as seperate voluntary thing..aside from the required community service he was told to do here in Atlanta. The reality show is just to help young guys like him out..and at the same time allow them to film his last days before jail..like LIl Kim did. The reality show is seperate.
