: MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that a Washington woman who beat the man who tried to molest her daughter with a baseball bat will have to spend the next three months in jail. But despite being convicted, Tammy Gibson claims she’s HAPPY SHE WHOOPED ON DUDE!!!
Here’s how it went down. MediaTakeOut.com learned that convicted sex offender William A. Baldwin moved into Tammy’s neighborhood last summer. Shortly after he got there, neighbors began circulating flyers telling people of Willaim Baldwin’s criminal past.
And when Tammy got the flyer – all heck broke loose. Here’s how the AP is reporting it:
.On June 19th, Gibson, an area resident, went to Baldwin's house in the 1800 block of River Road and asked for him.Good for her …When Baldwin stepped outside, she claimed she was going to kill him because Baldwin had molested her children. Gibson then proceeded to hit Baldwin repeatedly with her bat, the document said, leaving him with an injured arm.
"I kept swingin' and swingin', and swingin'," Gibson told investigators.
Contrary to what she had said to Baldwin, Gibson later told investigators Baldwin had not molested her children.
She did say, however, that when she saw the flyer, she recognized Baldwin as the man who had chatted up her then-10-year-old daughter during the previous summer. It may have been Baldwin's unusual height of 7 feet 3 inches that made him memorable.
"For him to be right there, in front of my house and talking to my child -- made me crazy," she said.
"And I told him I thought he was a piece of crap and I smacked him," she said. "I just didn't stop hitting him. I just told him that 'if it were up to me, I'd kill ya."'

Not to take up for him (because I HATE when people mess with others who can not defend themselves ie old people and children) but just because he is a registered *** offender does not mean he molested little children. We don't know this for sure. He may have had a consensual sexual relationship with a seventeen year old who's parents pressed charges.
Like ASuperiorMind and the like, I'm wondering why she did not say anything to his 7'3 behind when she saw him chatting with her ten year old daughter in their yard last summer.
She also should have talked to her ten year, who was probably nine at the time, about the dangers of talking to strangers.
And I'm also wondering if the tables were turned would so many still think a good deed was done. What if the registered *** offender was a female. A female ex high school teacher who previously had consensual *** with a male student of hers therefore getting caught and having to register as a *** offender for the rest of her life. She moves into this neighborhood and is seen chatting with a ten year old boy the previous summer. The dad receives a flyer of this female and goes over and beat her with a bat. Will he be able to use the same excuse she used? I understand ones first instinct as a mother, being mothers are nurturers, is to become angry and want to protect but she really should have called the police because he was in violation of his parole when he was talking to that little girl.

This topic is a controversial one. I would have immediately taken care of the situation when I first caught a stranger talking to my child. But then again, how do we know that this convicted *** offender was not an 18 year old that had consensual *** with a 16 year old. I'm just speaking on that issue because when I was in high school a guy that I knew that was 18 had *** with his 16 year old girlfriend. The girl's mother caught them and he got charged.

Well said Mstery, too many of these people speak without thinking. Everything in black and white is not factual. How about think. Not thinking is why what got this country in the financial problem we're in. In the laws eyes she beat an innocent man, and now her 10 year old child is without her for 90 days.
