NEW YORK – There won't be any awkward Chris Brown moment at the Kids' Choice Awards — the embattled pop star has withdrawn his name from the ballot.
Brown had been nominated for favorite male singer and favorite song for "Kiss Kiss" at the March 28 awards show on Nickelodeon. The nominations came *** before his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna.
A petition had been circulated to take his name off the ballot, but Nickelodeon said yesterday he was still on. On Wednesday, Brown decided to take his name out of consideration.
In a statement, his representatives said while Brown would like to speak directly to his fans, he can't because of his criminal case.
He thanked his fans for their support.

Still, despite the network's earlier holdout, Nickelodeon now says they "agree with" Brown's decision to pull out.
"We are confirming that Chris Brown has decided to withdraw his nominations from the Kids' Choice Awards," they said in a statement. "We agree with and respect his decision and are looking forward to presenting a great event for our audience."
Brown's announcement to withdraw his name from competition also comes in the wake of massive parental backlash against Nickelodeon, with a Twitter group launching a 3,000-signature-strong online petition to ban Brown from the kid-determined awards show.
His departure also comes in the wake of an entry posted to Brown's MySpace blog earlier this month, urging fans to vote for him for the awards.

"While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time," his spokesman said. "Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so."

As far as her fam, she is so used to being away from them because I read that she left Barbado where all her friends and fam was 2 pursue singing career here. When she got to the states, she didn't have any friends or fam until se got hooked up with a record deal. So I'm sure she has tons of "yes" men around her who will not look out for her best interest. Her career and Chris is all she knows, she's used to being distant from her fam, so it doesn't really make a difference if her family can't reach her right now. She feels Chris and her "people" are he family cause that's all she's known over the past years. So she's prob back w/ Chris also because she would feel empty w/o him being that she feels he is all she got. I bet when she went back to her fam in barbados, she prob was so lonely cause she don't consider that home anymore and couldn't wait to get back into the mix in the states.

Now whether anyone likes it or not evidence is what this world looks at. If she hit Chris with a shoe or something, the courts or the cops would ask you "can you prove it" and they would want concrete evidence, no hearsay mess. Now if she hit him first she was wrong.
