: MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that the Houston Rocket’s Carl Landry was shot in the leg early this morning in police suspect was a car jacking attempt. Here’s how the Houston Chronicle is reporting things:
According to police, Landry was driving when another vehicle bumped his car. He got out to inspect the damage and two shots were fired from the other vehicle as it slowly passed him, team officials said. The second shot struck Landry.It’s not clear how Carl made it out of there alive – but he did. And get this, dude ain’t even get his car stolen either. There may be more to this story.

Theres enough people reading this blog and alot on this blog.... if each of us tell someone who we know enjoy leading the life of crime to put the gun down.... we might make a difference for somebody.... I know we can't save the world, but it might change the mind of one or two people.

Thank God he got out alive...New Orleans were my home town, and this type of car jacking has been going on for many years, where the car behind you would bump your car, hoping you get out and rob you, take your car and sometimes kill you. It is so sad to see this type of criminal activity yet abides in that city. I know all to well how the perp operates because I were nearly a victim myself. What saved me when my vehicle were bumped were the fact that I believed in the rights to bare arms, and I got out with my firearm in my hand, after my call to the police, and some would be suprise to know that some police officers are behind a lot of criminal activity that goes on there. The murder rate has 10 times it's normal rate in New Orleans. There are now comments and post made against blacks more now than ever, since post katrina, So I question some deaths of the African American males and females there. If anyone ever visits New Orleans and your vehicle is bumped, I would suggest you call NOPD and notify them first, and stay inside your vehicle, if the person who bumped your vehicle approach your vehicle, please do not let your window down. If you're not comfortable drive away an find an Officer that can help you. Hhad it not been for my quick thinking to exit my vehicle with my firearm, I'm sure my vehicle and my life would have been taken. I very thankful the Lord worked in this situation with Landry. Remember, if you visit ***.O., please stay with your group. I once owned and operated a transportation service there, and I would tell my clients to stay together, and with their groups at all times. They are killing there like the Mexican Drug Lords, and majority of it is black on black crime, and they are holding no hostages, it's infant to eighty, blind, crippled or crazy, it doesn't matter because ***.O. Criminal Justice System is the most easiest court system to beat a murder charge, and or any charge for that matter. To Everyone Please Be safe, the essence fest will soon be coming up. People, if you ever visit New Orleans, you dont need a car. Every thing you need is down town or in the French Quarter. Walk everywhere, it beautiful. Its safe, people are nice, and food is great. I rank New Orleans as one of my favorite cities in the world. You just have to be smart when you go.

HOUSTON (AP) — Houston Rockets forward Carl Landry has been *** in the leg while driving near his home.
The injury to his left leg was minor, and the team says the player was treated at a hospital and released.
The *** happened about 4 a.m. Tuesday, a few hours after the Rockets returned from a game at New Orleans. Houston police say Landry went home after the team arrived about 12:30 a.m. before going out.
A car with two occupants hit Landry from behind. Police said Landry was *** when he got out to inspect the damage, and the other vehicle left the scene.
Landry is in his second season and has become a valuable player off the bench for the Rockets

MTO, you really need to get your facts straight. I don't know if you have something against New Orleans or what, but it seems like every opportunity you get to post something negative about my city, you do. YOU SHOULD ISSUE AN APOLOGY TO THE CITY AND ITS PEOPLE FOR YOUR INCORRECT INFORMATION!!! Don't just change the headlines from "New Orleans" to "Houston" with the hope that no one notices. WE NOTICED!!! New Orleans gets a bad enough wrap from people who don't know much about our city. We don't need you adding to the fire. Most of the crime/murders that take place here are not random. They are intended for people who are part of the game. As with some cities, crime can be random here, but as a whole, "you live by the sword, you die by the sword". They know the game when they get involved. New Orleans is a good place with lots to offer. Check out everything before you put us on BLAST!!!
