: MediaTakeOut.com learned that TI’s baby mother Tameka “Tiny” Cottle recently gave an interview with Essence magazine. In it, Tiny gave some insight into her relationship with T.I.

ESSENCE: What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about you and T.I.'s relationship?She really loves dude … he’s a lucky man …TINY: That we're not a real couple. They think because we're not married yet and have been engaged for two years that something must be wrong. I know it's a long time, but there are so many restrictions placed upon him now before we can think about planning a wedding. There is so much love between us it's ridiculous, and we like [spending] time together. So the things that people say and write about us doesn't bother me. I know what we have and what he shows me every day and that's all that matters.
ESSENCE: Do you have any words of encouragement for women who might be going through a similar situation as you?
TINY: Yes. Depending on the situation and the person, you should stick it out through thick and thin—the good and bad times. If you know you're with someone who would give his life for you and is somewhat a responsible better half, then stand up for him. I know my man's heart and because of that I'm going to be everything I need to be for him. Yes, he's made mistakes, but so have I.
If your man stands up for you and is there whenever you need him, then doesn't he deserve your unconditional love and support? If I know that about my man, then that's the kind of woman I'm going to be for him. I might need him in different ways than he needs me, but if being his woman means loving, supporting and putting his mind at ease, then the least I can do is step up to the plate and be there for him and our family.

I find that a lot of my friends that were with their men for 5, 10, even twelve years were very happy. As soon as they got married after the 10 years of just being boyfriend and girlfriend the marriage just fell apart. How in the world can they be happy for ten years without being married get married for two years and now filing for divorce.

When one is in a relationship that's not marriage they know the other can just leave at any given time but when people are in a marriage they know it's harder to just get out. A marriage requires both parties to keep working on the relationship and making love new again. Making time for each other like dating your husband or wife and also having time for the individual is important too. That's why some people suggest sleeping in different bedrooms so each person can have their space.

I happen to like Tip and Tiny as a couple and it is clear that she deals with a lot. With that said, I am trying to figure out why people are talking like marriage is only a reward for the woman? It's like, if she acts right and proves herself for 10-20 years, then I will marry her. That is ***. If a woman or man loves you, there are no restrictions that will keep you from getting married especially if it is what they both want. If she wants to just live with him and have his children, fine. I don't condone it, but it's not my life. She should do her and forget about what everyone else has to say; however, there is no need for her to pretend like it doesn't bother her that Tip hasn't married her yet. Tip is blessed to have her and she should remind herself of that daily.
That's real and everybody has their own timeline. Nobody can tell you how true your love is. HOWEVER, if you are a "ride or die" chick it should be no problem for him to make you his "ride or die" wife. Ladies, don't be swindled. He's getting the milk for free-why would he marry you and tie his $$$ up?
