When MediaTakeOut.com asked one insider how Kelly Rowland was doing, the insider described "She's not doing well."
But despite Kelly's private depression, publicly she's still holding strong. Here's Kelly's official statement about being dropped:
Because Columbia Records has been my home base as an artist for more than a decade, the decision to move out on my own required a lot of soul-searching.Kelly ... dropping Matty Knowles was a BAD MOVE girl ...As a solo artist, I felt the need to explore new directions, new challenges, and new freedoms outside my comfort zone and my friends and family at Columbia have been incredibly understanding about my evolution.

No, dropping that fool Matthew Knowles was the best thing she could have done. He has managed her and any other artists that are not Beyonce into the ground. He had put out such bad products with them that they are like damaged goods. I think she should of waited before she sprung out into the music industry as a solo artist. She should of pick a better crew to write her songs, or she could of spent a little bit more time in the studio and wrote some of her own stuff. Just because a record company drops you does not mean your career is over!!!!! She probably needed to get away because they are not doing anything with her or her career. I hope that someone else is sensitive enough to recognize there is 'some' talent there - she's no lead - but she does have something to offer and perhaps with all the writers on the scene and especially with the hook ups that artists can get from their friends in the business (TPAIN SEEMS TO MAKE HITS FOR EVERYBODY BUT HIMSELF!), she can certainly try something and someone else.
Personally, I hope she has something else she can 'fall back on'. When I stopped singing professionally, I had a degree and was able to walk into the Educational Field and teach. You have to prepare yourself because this singing business does not last. Without a hit record and some hungry fans your career can end abruptly. You have to have something on wax, faithful record company producers who will add your song to their ROTATION so you can get consistent airplay. You have to have a team who adores you and believes in your career. Otherwise, you're dead meat.
I personally feel that Kelly should have been separated herself from Destiny Child’s a long time ago like Latoya and Latavia. Matthew is only concern was Beyonce and only Beyonce. Bey is very talented and greedy for the spotlight. In due time her fame will eventually end, because she is doing too much. And other talented artist will get their chance to shine.
