hold up now! my boyfriend is in theater and he will personally tell you that when he is directing a play where the SCRIPT CALLS for actors of other races, he has an extremely hard time finding non black actors because sometime non black actors have a hard time taking direction from a non white director. There have been times when during the first two weeks of class, he'll have a handful of white students and once they see that he is black, they eventually drop the class. They are so used to seeing some ancient lily white haired guy that they just can't 'accept' it and take lead from him. Trust me, with the lack of theater/film opportunities for African Americans they was probably no need to place an ad for them, they more than likely already know about it!!!
Hello?! He needed EXTRAS. Meaning that he needs to put people for interior/exterior scenes like in a cafe, or at a mall or outside in the city. I don't what is the big deal. Major film productions do this all the time. I mean if a movie like 'Mississippi Burning' have scenes with black folks to be in the background, they would put out an ad saying they need black folks. Or they make about Nazi Germany or about Beethoven they would say they need white folks!! Understand MTO? Now tomorrow ,our course will be on why they play any black artist on counrty radio!!!
I'm going to be honest - I agree with the person who posted - his movies suck anyway. Nothing personal against him - but I find his movies TIRED. Madea was great in the beginning - but now its the same ole BS, different movies. After Madea goes to jail, I know I'm not paying to see anymore of his movies. If he makes something worth watching - then maybe, I'll be back to being a fan, but until then, I'm not interested in anything he produces/makes/writes, etc. Maybe, he needs to make more movies with Caucasion people, anyway, because his stuff is stereotypic anyway of Black people.

I live in Atlanta and TP was calling for extras on the radio stations for a month or so by now. He never specified race. JUST MAYBE, a lot of AAs showed up and got placement, yet he wanted more diversity in the scenes. Get over yourselves MTO. Most casting call memos specify race, height, weight, etc!
SO THE FCUK WHAT? He is casting for extras..people in the background, not for stars so this means nothing. Perhaps he already has a large group of black extras and needs to supplement with others in order to *** realistic scenes...In case you haven't noticed MTO if you look around most cities, not everyone you see is black.

and there's a difference between him and diddy. Diddy RARELY puts a black female in any leads. And when she is, she's usually light/can't-tell-what-the-hell-she-is!
Tyler uses blacks as lead roles. Diddy uses blacks as background dancers/singers & has the "others" as the leads in his commercials and videos.

I highly doubt that TP would have to put an ad on craigslist for extras and even if he was just looking for other ethnic groups maybe he has all the African-American extras he needs. I just know yall aren't trying to imply that he's discriminating when 90% of the actors/actresses in all his movies are AFRICAN-AMERICAN.
