It is truly sad to see that there are so many people who are used to each other down, even when there are major accomplishments that have been achieved. I know I'm not the only one who sees this "crab-barrel" effect within our own people. Having one Black president isn't enough people have to seek change from within. WE SERIOUSLY HAVE TO DO BETTER!!!

Let me just state, (I think I speak for most people here when I say):
I don't want to get along with StormZoe. She is a nerdy little toss artist, who has a problem with anyone who has an alternative opinion to her and in order to 'get along' with a piece of human excrement like her, I would have to debase myself, entirely, to sink to his level, which, is just too much of a sacrifice.
The fact remains, stormzoe is the only trouble maker, here.
Regardless of our opinion on Obama, the majority of the users of this site, get along fine. No one abuses anyone for making positive comments about Obama. StormHoe, however feels that she needs some sort of conflict in her life, in order to validate the time she spends alone in herroom, fingering herself over pictures of her own *** hole.

Sounds like a case of judging a book by its cover. JET features stories on AAs that aren't featured in mainstream media in EVERY issue. The April issue of Essence featured stories on a lot (over 10) women who are at the top of their game in various careers. As a matter of fact, they do this monthly. Sister 2 Sister features full stories on sisters making major moves every month, also non-celebs. Black Enterprise, must I explain. Come on!
I don't know, I think Michelle needs to lay off all the magazine covers. I know that both Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush appeared in magazines, but it was a once in a while thing, not six covers every month the way it seems like with Michelle. I agree with everyone that she represents positive things, but I think if she's on the cover of a rag like People next to idiots like Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton it takes away from her position and accomplishments. If the Obamas start to be looked at more as celebrities versus leaders I think people are going to take the President less seriously. I know everyone is going to disagree, but it's just my opinion.

Just a point, why are some Black people so quick to love a country that hates them merely for their pigmentation? America is a great country, and Obama made a stupid move talking "negatively" about America, but as far as I can see, America still hasn't done all that much for me to be so in love with it. My grandma always says believe half of what you hear and all of what you see, and I have formed my opinion about America by watching its racist tendencies towards Blacks, both subliminally and tangibly. Don't believe the hype: America is not the land of the free and a Black person will still have to work twice as hard as a White man to gain half as much.

The article was extremely well written by Essence.
Marian says that "her children are good parents, which makes it easy to be a grandmother".
