: MediaTakeOut.com just learned of a stunning scientific breakthrough being reported in the British press. According to the reports, it will soon be possible for two gay men to have biological children together, and the same for lesbian couples.
Here’s what the UK’s Daily Mail is reporting:
British scientists are ready to turn female bone marrow into sperm, cutting men out of the process of creating life.The world is a changin’ y’all…The breakthrough paves the way for lesbian couples to have children that are biologically their own.
Gay men could follow suit by using the technique to make eggs from male bone marrow.
Researchers at Newcastle upon Tyne University say their technique will help lead to new treatments for infertility.
But critics warn that it sidelines men and raises the prospect of babies being born through entirely artificial means.
The research centres around stem cells - the body's 'mother' cells which can turn into any other type of cell.
According to New Scientist magazine, the scientists want to take stem cells from a woman donor's bone marrow and transform them into sperm through the use of special chemicals and vitamins.

Since the discovery of DNA and the fields cellular biology...i.e. mans ability to manipulate the genome, it has been concluded that all that is required for proliferation is an egg, a diploid (having two sets of chromosomes) cell, and a host...i.e. the womb, all of which a woman has exclusively.

I know that the male chromosome has been shrinking thoughout the ages. In a few thousands of years there will be no Male chromosome, so its not taht far fetched that stem cell researchers try to dicover a way for Asexual reproduction or as close to it as possible.
There are other specias that procreate asexually so perhaps these scientists aretrying to develop a way that a human may be able to do so as well.

I, honestly, believe that men evolved as a way to increase species proliferation. It is thought that prior to this split we were some type of feminine hermaphrodites. So you think this hermaphrodite that self impregnates and something happens to it, you have a decrease in population. You separate the two, something happens to one, the other stands a good chance of going on and replicating. Evolution of males just made it easier.
The second question regarding desire...it would stand to reason that if there were no men there would be no desire. The desire is necessary for reproduction (in a natural sense, I'm talking hetero...or the original intent of ***...and that is reproduction!).

Sorry I missed u up there. I say feminine because the X chromosome is stable and has not changed since the divergence of X and Y from an X like ancestor. Unlike the Y.
All men have an X and a Y chromosome. The X is where you get your genes from...you got that from your mother. All eggs are X. The Y is where you get your gender, all sperm is X or Y. (But you already knew that).
It just speaks to the evolutionary order of gender.

I believe the Y chromosome was greater and more robust in the past. It has since lost almost all of it's genes....and not it's losing function. It's basically a mutation (Sorry BlakGold) or a mutated X chromosome. I'd hate to think of where it's going to ============================================
