That's what it's really all about. There is a growing sense of disconnect in the community that only grows wider as fingers get pointed. MTO plays on that disconnect for their own profit and benefit, as do many others in the media. CNN stay talking about black people's relationships at the same time white folks are divorcing at a 60% clip. But you are right, as men and women we are both guilty of it, but the nature of the dialogue does need to change.

I think it's the latter. I feel like they feel betrayed because black men can find love elsewhere easier than they can, so they blame us for the negative attention the race gets in the media on the six o'clock news. So they try to seperate themselves from us to prove "we're all not like that" to people who would still find some way to discredit us even if these thugs cleaned up their act and the media didn't have any negativity to report on.
I believe some of them were taught that a "rich" "sweet" white man was the way to go and "***" "playa" black men were second rate, and coupled with how he's portrayed in the media it confirms this myth to them.
