Albert Brown, also known as “Al B Sure!” is my biological father, but Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy” has been a father figure in my life for as long as I can remember.Sounds like Diddy raised quite a MAN there ...Sean Combs is the person whom I look up to and appreciate as a father. He is the one who help mold me into the person I am today and will always try to live up to his expectations. He has always been supportive of me and I will forever love and respect him.
As far as my biological father goes, the “spitting image” is all I have taken from him. Throughout my life, I’ve always wondered about him; Where he was? What was he doing? and most importantly, Was he even thinking about me?

I don't believe money played a factor in this essay.....There are a lot of professional athletes who weren't rich growing up (Shaq for one) and their real father's weren't there and when they made it rich they thanked the father figure who was there...I know a lot of boys from the hood who's father's weren't there for them and they were broke but yet they gave credit to their mother's husband/significant other for holding them down like their real father should have....Yes Puff Daddy isn't perfect but he seems to be a good father....What father's don't do dirt?...It's just they're not in the public eye like Puff Daddy...... I believe Diddy is a good father. Regardless of the fact, he was with Quincy's mother, therefore he took care of him like he would his own child. Nothing wrong with that if that's what he choose to do. However, I think if there is a strained relationship with Quincy and Al B Sure...it's all on Kim. She's so trifling. I read an interview where they asked her about the daughter that Diddy has with the woman in Atl and her response was that she didn't care, her sons already had sisters and that she didn't want them to have anything to do with the other daughter. And I thought that was completely childish and stupid and I lost all respect for her after that. It's not the baby's fault that her father is a hoe. She deserves to know her brothers and sisters. Diddy's feminine side makes him very nurturing. From the outside looking in, it appears he's a great father. I still don't agree with forsaking your blood... no matter what! No one knows the ***. Just because someone provides financial support doesn't make them a good parent. Quincy, I can't imagine what it must be like to grow up in the public eye. Growing up period is hard for anyone, let alone someone who is constantly being "looked at". As a mother of a 14 year old son, I understand that teenagers have a lot of frustrations and issues with parents. Your feelings and emotions are real, however, they seem to come from a place of certain influence and confusion. You see sweetheart, I have learned in life that the best way to get someone's attention is not to attack them, but to approach them in a way that they will listen. You are right, time is very important and can never be replaced, however, you can't go back in the past but you can certainly move forward. You are obviously extremely smart, talented, handsome and blessed and right now, you have the whole world in your hands. The opportunities in life that God has blessed you with most people would kill to have. Heck, if you really think about it, there are some kids right now who live in Africa, and both parents are infected with AIDS and going to die at any given moment. Or, they don't have a home, or clothes or even water to drink. When you start looking at these things, it makes you feel a little better about your own journey. Listen honey, I don't want to seem preachy nor do I want you to feel like I am taking away from your own right to feel validated. We all need that respect, but the most important thing is that whoever is supporting you and loving you, should do just that. Give you a positive, loving home and environment that encourages things like FORGIVENESS. I am 1000% percent sure that your mom has done everything she can to give you the best life in the world!! No one, and I mean no one loves you like a mom!! But I am speaking of the millions of people out there who may not REALLY know you and your family besides the illusions that the machine of the media creates!! Being upset with your Biological father is real and I am sure he hears you loud and clear, however, comparing him to what YOU FEEL someone else has done for you IN PUBLIC is not the proper approach.
