: Congratulations are in order. MediaTakeOut.com just learned that Charlamagne Tha God, former co-host to The Wendy Williams Experience got a new gig – hosting the Morning Show on Philadelphia’s 100.3 The Beat.
And for all those wondering … yeah … that’s Miss Jones’ old job.

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia, PA. – Radio One Philadelphia has named Charlamagne the new host of The Morning Beat show effective Friday May 1, 2009. He will be heard Monday through Friday from 6am-10am.“Doing an all music morning show with mixer Bent Roc garnered some of the highest ratings that we’ve seen in the last year for our morning show on the Beat. We are presently #1 with woman 18-34 without doing a traditional morning show. Charlamagne will be brought on board to accent the current success of the “Morning Beat.” His commanding personality along with his internet savvy and his desire to be local will only propel this show to a higher plane. In honor of his first day we’ll allow Charlamagne to take over the station from 6am-10pm giving away $100 dollars every half hour as apart of him getting to know Philadelphia listeners on day one.” Says Elroy R.C. Charlamagne’s resume is impeccable. He has a proven track record of not only success but continuous progress throughout his career. He started out as an intern in 1999 and over the last 10 years he has held numerous positions within radio some of which include being the Co-Host of the nationally syndicated “Wendy Williams Experience” as well as being the current host of Dirt Law Radio in Columbia, SC.
I am from SC and yes that part is confirmed, he is most def from Cacalaka. I remember when he was a nobody, I didn't even know he was in Philly again after "POWER 99" dumped the Wendy Williams thing a few months ago. I hate Wendy she is such a ignorant Bich. When I here Here on 101.7 I just turn the station. I live in DE so I get the best of both Power99 and 100.3 the beat. These are rival stations but POWER99 got Philly on lock hands down! I don't really think even Charlamagne coming over will help that. Sorry 100.3 The dude got talent but will he last?

The money is mentioned as a promo giveaway to listeners. The radio station is hoping that people will tune in to win the money thereby giving Charlamange a chance to hook them with his talent. They are hoping that once you hear Charlamange you will tune in as a loyal listener even when the promo is over.
Hopefully Charlamange has stopped bad-mouthing celebs cuz he is going to need friends to survive morning radio.
I wish people would stop calling him God, and is he a ***? I figure if you're making some money now, you could cut it out with the trigger posing like you're out the busting at people when you know you're not. He's got the nerve to be rockin a Jesus medallion too. Just when I thought I couldnt be anymore ashamed, the likes of somebody named Charlamagne "Tha God" proves me wrong.

@focusfocus: I used to listen to wendy but she blew mine always tryna "out" people for being ***. There is a difference between valid questions and hate meant to demean or embarrass people. I also got tired of the way she would curse out callers asking for advice. Like you would call askin about whether you should marry ur longtime boyfriend and she would go into a fit about how you are a loser for being with a longtime relationship and that she and her man are in business together...WHAT!?
I cant wait to find out what happens with the intern who sued because Kevin wanted to *** her...NYC aint got no love for this show..

His envy, criticism and disrespect of artist who are WAY MORE SUCCESSFUL than him is a little tough to listen to during interviews BUT he is a hard working young man and was fired from BLS through no fault of his own. His firing had nothing to do with a "recession" and EVERYTHING to do with a law suit that had to be settled as well as an unprofessional environment at Inner City I wish him well and hope he took something from that experience.
@ONICE: Star and Buc are on some station like 88 point 5 or sumthin in NYC and he is has the angry black guy who's spose to be Muslim on there, but I never heard Buc. Star still actin a fool but without any guests hat matter, noone actually tunes in. That *** Karma, boy...
@Focusfocus: ***! She settled out? thats F'd up! She talked so much mess about how when the suit is over, she was gonna put Nicole on blast, but she couldnt talk about it cuzof legal issues. She know that girl was tellin the truth.. Wendy just doesnt translate as well on T.V. as she does on the radio. Im tellin you, karma is a big, miserable, nasty, relentless ***!
