Nappy headed doesn't offend me as I am very much NAPPY AS I WANT TO BE!
It's that coupled with, "Hoes"...there's no spinning the meaning of that. Nappy headed is bad to some people but good to me. I ain't no hoe though. Neither were those Rutger girls.
We all know where that term became popular from---Imus incident. So even if the isn't saying black, everyone will immediately go to that.
Overall, I could care less about this, but for the fact of the, "messup" then the immediate, "OMG...I had NO idea I would offend...please forgive".
@Conscious1- I understand where you are coming from. There is NOTHING wrong with having nappy, curly or kinky hair. It's OUR natural hair so what's wrong with it??? This white, immature, pale-***, skinny, corny as hell, fugly wannabe fool was using it for a MOTIVE. Either he used it as a RACIAL slur, or he used it to create some type of media attention. Or, like most corny as pie white boys, he used it trying to be FUNNY but it obviously backfired. Whatever the reason, he was WRONG and DISRESPECTFUL. I bet T.I, Snoop, and Jay's CAREERS in rap would be OFFICIALLY OVER if they were running around calling white girls "cave-girl smelling like wet dog with stringly sheep dog hair". As black people we are so *** FORGIVING that its sickening to me. I say off with the LAME wannabe's head. I'm so sick of these corny PALE *** fools trying to steal a BROTHERS SWAG, MUSIC, and creative artistry JUST to use it to disrespect the black man's WOMAN.
It's got to stop. WHo will be an advocate for us??? I remember Em dissing black women too. NOBODY called him out on that mess. YET when he made fun of Micheal Jackson in that video, BET got mad as hell and PULLED it out of rotation. The black radio station in the midwest REFUSED to play the song because Em went so hard on MJ. Why is it cool to DOG BLACK women OUT but not BLACK MEN?! I'm sick of our men NOT defending us. SMH. We're becoming a sad, sick joke and people tease us at the expense of our own DIGINITY. This isn't right.
