I had a feeling the first time I saw the previews to this movie that it would be similar to the movie of the same title as the Lifetime version made about 4 years ago. I was hoping that writers would be a little more creative, but I was sadly disappointed. Idris Elba's acting was a bit less desirable as I seen him perform better in the past. Beyonce plays the role of the clinging wife with nothing else better to do than keeps tabs on her husband and holds her son. The crazed obsessed woman reminded me of Rebecca Demorney in The Hand that Rocks the Cradle. So I wasn't a bit surprised on how this film ended. I should've went with my gut instinct and saw The Soloist instead. I give this prize rating a 'D': Disappointment and Disaster of uncreative work

Personally I don't have anything against dark people. The love of my life is dark and someone whom I loved dearly was black-black BUT I have noticed a character flaw in very dark women in particular - not really the men. Of that I won't apologize. It's like they have a permanent chip on their shoulders and HATE HATE HATE everyone especially the lighter skinned black women. Now with that said since you fall in the caramel category IF you are honest you will probably ADMIT to having experienced such but since you tend to follow the masses I have no expectations of you.
The reason I say you have potential is b/c you aren't QUITE as deranged. For example, you have admitted that you think the Knowles' love Solange. I do too. I remember seeing Tina and Solange shopping with Bey's BLACK CARD when Solo was pregnant. We've all prob. seen the pics of Tina, Solo, baby and Kelly shopping so the ACCUSATIONS that Tina only loves Beyonce is BEYOND TIRED. Every parent knows that you have a favorite whether you ADMIT IT OR NOT. It's not that you love your other children any less but perhaps you and favorite child have MORE IN COMMON. ??? !!!!! @ransomed yes I am truthful about my skin tone. The world has turn us against the color of our ancestors. We tend to joke about some being dark. Do you see how much people tend to say how BLACK flavor flav in and find it funny? We also trip on nose sides and lips.....like Jay Z. I have fallen victim of this but it isn't right. And alot of african americans tend to get rid of these features because of what white america says. I really feel that since being white is like the ultimate status symbol in America and they are the so called dominate race that blacks tend to want to fit in. So the lighter the skin tone the more accepted one is. Also it even started with field slaves and the house slaves. We all know how all of these different skin tones got here.....with the mixing up of white and black races. I know that you have to agree that what that guy redd sexi says is very over the top. It's okay to be comfortable in your own skin, but don't use the terminology that white people have been using to make us feel less than human.
