: MediaTakeOut.com just received a very troubling report. Former NBA star Jayson Williams was taken into custody earlier today after he tried to commit suicide.
According to reports, the 41 year old NBA star took an entire bottle of pills and drank a bottle of alcohol.
MediaTakeOut.com learned that police were called to his room after hotel guests complained of Jayson’s erratic behavior. And when they arrived, officers used a taser gun to subdue him.
Jayson was involuntary committed into a NYC mental health facility.
EDITOR'S UPDATE: Jayson is reportedly recovering in a mental health facility. According to his reps, he's doing a lot better now.

Mental health problems and suicide ARE common issues that DO happen in the Black community. This is nothing new. That's the problem - there is this lie within our community that these things don't happen to "us", when they do in fact occur.
In a way I feel sorry for this dude because he used to be really full of life. A regular comedian. He was very ***. I remember an episode of MTV cribs where he had a *** and let everyone know what would happen to any trespassers... He sounded really crazy. Then coinsidently he clapped his limo driver by accident. It probably was an accident but ***+gat+liquor= dead limo driver. So now that he's screwed his life up he wants to take himself out. Unless you believe in the creator this may be an option. For those that do believe in the creator you know better. There is no forgiveness for taking a life that you did not give. Even if it is your own.

She made the statement that taking her own life was something that she could be in control of. This lady was of great talent. I really hope they make a movi about her life soon, but please hire a real actress to play her like Queen Latifah. I don't think the limo driver's death was by accident at all. Jayson Williams is dealing with his conscious. He murdered that poor man. Mental illness is very prevalent in the black community. If you don't think so, watch Maury Povich or Jerry Springer. I believe the people on those shows are bipolar, clinically depressed or schizophrenic.
Jayson Williams must be dealing with a tremendous amount of pain to attempt suicide. I will keep him in my prayers. This is proof that money can't buy happiness.

This economy is really screwing up alot of people who were already on edge and sending them over the entire *** cliff and down into a pit. If this story is true, it's definitely not something to make light of. Mental illness and depression are two psycological issues that are too often swept under the rug of denial in a lot of families, particularly within the black community. Drugs and alcohol just enhances the illness. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Jason's been a sick pup for years. He killed a chauffeur in his house a few years ago, and because he's got money, he got away with it. He had many gun-oriented incidents prior to that one. He's had issues for years, this doesn't surprise me. When peolple have money, and they may be powerful, people dismiss the things they do as small issue. Very often those "small issues" are a window into a bigger problem. Family and friends don't want to be cut-off from the money, so they don't speak up. Example:Whitney Houston.

Jayson Williams did not beat all the charges against him with the killing of the limo driver. He is still awaiting trial for the other charges and is out on bail.
His wife is seeking a divorce after being at his side for so many years. Apparently, she is saying he is abusive, abuses drugs, and cheated on her.
I sure this murder trial has cost him a lot of money since 2004. He crying out for help and I hope he gets the help he needs.

He had the nerve to tell him "get the *** out of here." After he was aquitted he had the nerve to be photographed with a champagne bottle "celebrating" with his then pregnant wife. Whenever anyone has come to a conclusion that they would be better off DEAD of their own will and at their own hands it is beyond SADNESS! And people are even more baffled by the desperation of the act itself when you appear outwardly to be handsome,wealthy,happy and not suffering from terminal illness, but once again a persons appearance doesn't tell a ACCURATE STORY of what is going on in their real life. Everybody suffers from different degrees of depression from low grade to the EXTREME MAXIMUM and nobody's life ever turns out the way they have it planned in their head even when it appears all their dreams are coming true. We all at times are left wondering what this whole life thing is about? Why are we here? What are we suppose to be doing in life? And if we are doing it why do we feel this TREMENDOUS EMPTINESS INSIDE? I hope he get's the help he needs as well from man,but he that saves his life will undoubtedly be GOD. If you believe in the after life (heaven etc...), then what's known as "judgment" will be what the person has to face. Everyone will be judged, those who were Christian at least will be "judged" (their deeds will be judged), so they'll be forgiven...
If a person kills 36 ppl and they're not Christian, more than likely they won't "repent" and in order to be forgiven (on earth) you have to "repent." If you die (still killed 36 ppl) and never accepted Christ, then you won't need to be "judged," and you won't need forgiveness...you go straight to hell, sorry, lol.
