Im not trying to be harsh but you need to wake up.You are their mother and it's your right to teach them whatever the hell you feel like. But they are not white. I know you are not aware of what people of color goes through by experience but do you think that's really going to help teaching them that they are "half" color unless they can pass for white?! People of color's reality and white reality are two different things. Teaching them that they are mixed is cool but they are still a person of color in a world where white skin and features are preferred and have more privileges. You would have to read yesterday's thread to get the full jist of my angle as it relates to RayneC..because it started yesterday. I personally believe that she fabricated parts of her story in an effor to FIT in, but at the same time, she tends to make sideways comments to demean blacks and black women.
With that said, she is phony. Please scroll up and read. (YESTERDAY also.) she goes in and out of this nice girl image..yet she called me names as well. Dumbazz as well as ***..if I am not mistaken..so pity is not something you should feel for her so readily.
I do not come HARD at everyone. But racism stinks and if i sense it..i may come off a little angry. THe things she said about teaching both sides of the heritage unraveled when she aluded to the fact that the kids LOOK white.
