I went over to our nearest KFC a few minutes ago...and chaos ensued. Despite the very visible grilled chicken behind the register, the manager told everyone with coupons to leave and that the promotion was over for the day.BTW ... nobody said "No justice … no 2 PIECE" we added that cause it just sounded HILARIOUS!!!The people there are currently holding a sit-in and refusing to leave until they get their free chicken .. .or the cops are called.
Racial epithets were being spewed, people who actually wanted to pay for chicken were facing a potential beatdown, and the manager ran from the screaming horde. Oprah, what have ye wrought?
What got me is the youtube video of the popeyes story in rochester, ny...People saying how are they going to feed their families...ummmm, get you arse in the kitchen and cook for your kids or go to another spot...
It was wrong that they only showed the urban areas because I heard the suburbs ran out to, but the ignorance was just sad to see...
Its chicken people...we got to do better than this! Get online, get a copy cat recipe, and fry your own birds!

lmao.. things were definitely pretty hectic yesterday. I hit 2 different KFC's for lunch and dinner. Also made sure to stop by Arby's since it was wednesday (all ice tea free on weds.) I made copies of my coupon and will be back up in that thang today for lunch and *** for dinner.. too bad there is no free tea on thursdays. but for real Oprah should be giving the KFC employees bonuses for this mess. i mean, every employee had a look of frustration. they were just throwing the chicken in the box, slamming coleslaw into the the little cups, it was funny as hell, yet, i felt for them.

@getittogetha, there were far more whites at the kfc I went to than blacks. Matter of fact I was the only black there so I dont really know if that was the case. I think Oprah did something special to help us out. It was a nice gesture. Hell white folk eat just as much chicken. I never saw so many white boys with a coupon in their hands!!
Yall funny MTO!! Actually, I just finished reading on people.com that although they ran out of chicken everyone was calm and peaceful about it. These are hilarious stories though especially with popeyes a few weeks ago. That was my laugh for the day seeing how people have almost a religious experience over some dang old chicken that you can buy from the store and fry up yourself! we can do so much better people

Yes, that's right. Black folks swarmed every KFC in America after Ms. Oprah Winfrey declared it "Free Chicken Day at KFC" on her.
Because of the high demand for the free meal, KFC has decided not to feed another black person, another piece of chicken.
As a matter of fact, KFC bigwigs have contacted all of the chicken farms across America to let them know that the "free chicken" epidemic will "wipe them out" if they continue to supply KFC with chicken, therefore, putting a halt to Ms. Winfrey's free chicken meal.

Black people will go crazy about some chicken, want we? LOL On a serious note, KFC DID NOT RUN OUT OF CHICKEN! The president of the company saw that he was losing lots of money with this promotion. This was mainly due to the fact that someone had started a website were counterfeit coupons could be printed. *Cant blame the man, he gotta eat too!
