: Warning - Ciara's singing may cause permanent ear damage
Ciara can sing...her problem is she has no idea what sort of range she has, her abilities are lost on her. When she sang "Never Ever" it was obvious she has a nice voice... She didn't sound bad last ***, but the first performance was lame because she didn't sing enough during it and it's Saturday *** Live-Live-Live!! Also, Ciara's dancing is way overrated. Seriously, she dances like your average club-girl. Actually, I've seen them dance much better than even she does. She's no Beyonce, that's for sure. And that second outfit she had on looks just like something Rihanna would wear...

I have no problem with her singing. I loved when she mimicked James Brown's fancy footwork and hit his trademark split at the end of her dance routine, but the rest of the choreography was almost unbearable to watch. I felt like I was watching a bunch of strippers. The only thing missing was a stripper pole. She needs to take that raunchy act to Vegas. She'd fit right in.
Her moves were cool, even though her dancers were hitting them better. But this is the reason why I will be shelling out top dollar to see someone who can actually sing & dance at the same time. Yep I'm speaking of Beyonce! Plus Justin is on SNL all the time singing & dancing but he has never sounded that bad.
So what MTO?? its not like she was singing the National Anthem!!, Dancing is what she does best so at least she got that but any who...

@shashayrael I agree!! I just bought a concert ticket to see B for $350...I wanted the meet and greet but $1000 is too much!! People can hate on Bey as much as they want to but the fact is that Bey sing and dance the whole concert and sounds outstanding. Bey has raw talent.
Also Justin is like the female Bey...I saw his concert on HBO and he sing and dance the whole time! There are very few artist who can do this.. Usher fell of big time and he just lipsync like Britney Spears.

I don't get it, Ciara did a good job last ***. This is a straight hater post. Overall, I thought the performance was boring because Ciara is getting too glam for me. I liked her better when she was had a little "hood" in her music and her dancing. That's what made her stand out, now she is slowly blending in with everyone else. There is nothing wrong with evolving and trying different things, but don't completely abandon your roots and things that you made you famous in the first place.
The performance of Love, ***, Magic (the title seems like a rip from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to me) was pretty awful. Ciara appears to be taking bits from The *** Dolls, Beyonce, and Britney Spears. She intermittently spoke a word or 2 live, and the rest was lip synced or just left entirely to the track because she was too busy with the overproduced, unflattering dance moves. The only good part was Justin Timberlake.
i'm not going say that she can't sing, but not my type of vocals i want to hear or pay my money to her....some songs she sounds decent but that is due to all of the equipment they use to make her sound decent. i was lmao when watching her last nite. dancing she is great but....sigh....i think she would be the first artist that would benefit from using the auto tone....is that what it is called? that thing that t-pain uses lol i heard her sing on that MTV commercial, like a surgeon, and i had to change the station i felt bad for her.

Umm I have to say Mariah Carey 18 years ago was the sh*t. LOL Naw forreal Mariah proved for a long *** time she was the best singer next to Whitney. She lost her *** voice but she will still kill Ciara any day.

Many of you are saying, "You know she's not a singer she's a performer". LAME LAME LAME! If you're trying to sell CDs you should be able to SING and PERFORM.

the first song she did was ok but when she sang the second song it was HORRIBLE!!! And the only reason she was on there cause she had that song with justin and he was hosting so she should be thankful she got to be on the show all she can do is dance and the dancing she was doing she was on the wrong stage the one she was suppose to be on is one where they throw dollars at her!
Don't get me wrong; she has no business in music, but considering that, she did ok on the 2nd song. At least she sang live. Changed keys a couple times, but ended the song ok. At least she tried. The 1st "song" however was pointless. Justin sang, and she did not do any more dancing than the several other dancers. Her vocal parts, she just talked. Anyone could have done that.
The best part of SNL last *** was Justin and Andy's "Mother Lover" skit!

I try not to judge but when did it become acceptable 2 go on national television & give your best impersonation of a stripper & B viewed as an r & b vocalist...clearly we need to establish a category 4 women such as the Ciaras & Adina Howards of the business. I just saw the NBC vid....I thought given the *** of Dancing(which she IS good at) AND Singing...she did ok...She was trying her best to breathe properly... And that? is VERY important, not to sound winded!...She's a Studio/Background singer at best,but the Record Label FELT with the right MIC pitch,yada yada AND she had the.."Package" look so they went for it!....This is a numbers game,and that's what will keep her afloat or coz her to fall.
Talent went down the toliet and ciara got flushed if she can sing so can everybody else in the business I mean everybody.
