Then, we took a look at the pic of the chick (see below). We were expecting to see some ole Heather Locklear or Kim Kardashian kinda chick ... and she sure ain't that. Come on now KSU, you mean to tell us that's the best y'all got????

There's nothing wrong with clowing celebrities. They ASKED to be in the SPOTLIGHT. I don't like MTO going after a girl in college. And then calling her not cute. And now we're supposed to clown her as not cute cause she's white.

I'm an Alum of ***-State and thinks this is wonderful! Ms. KSU is not about looks, but about being a spokes person for the University. Looks only can carry you so far, She has school spriit, she's smart and very well rounded. She bleeds kelly green and gold! I'm proud of her and the student body for not being shallow like MTO!!! KSU is SO ethnic and diverse that it almost neglects the HBCU title, but it is what it is, and it was the first HBCU when there weren't any in Kentucky for African Americans, and there has been many, many, MANY GREAT people who've walked the grounds of ***-State i.e *** Star, Rod Hill, Whitney M. Young, etc.
We may not be like all other HBCUs but we're on the come up, but I kind of like it like that because for one it doesn't really give us the exposure as a result of ones that do.
They're taking over everything... even the pageants at our own schools. What kind of affirmative action allowed this to take place?? I'm appalled. HBCU-- white girl representing-- isn't there something wrong with this picture?? You ain't never seen a black face representing an Ivy League institution.

Well I go to Kentucky State now and to be honest she was the best candidate for the job. In the year 2009 when a black man is the President of the United States why is it a problem that a white educated, qualified woman cannot be Miss KSU. If the tables were turned and the situation was a black woman at a predominately white school, black people would be raising hell! Its nice to know that she is an intelligent, involved young woman who is worth of the crown. And for the record there is nothing whatsoever wrong with the way this woman looks! This is the most ignorant thing I’ve seen all day. I currently attend Kentucky State and I am a proud Thorobred and I voted for her because she was the most qualified candidate. I’ve worked closely with this woman and she is just about the most dedicated and focused individual that I’ve ever met at ***-State so to say that she doesn’t deserve this title because she is white and does not fit into your standard of beauty is completely ignorant, racist, and just plain *** for lack of a better word. Yes there are other Caucasian girls who others may find more attractive but guess what?? NONE OF THEM RAN FOR THE TITLE!! Most of the freshman who came in this past year didn’t even know who Miss KSU was because the young lady who held the title didn’t hold the crown in the high regard that it deserved. The young lady pictured above was the only candidate that spoke to everyone even before running for Miss KSU was an option, since our freshman year she’s socialized with blacks, white, Hispanics, commuter students, non-commuter, students, traditional, non-traditional, African, Korean and other foreign exchanged students. If you do not attend ***-State then frankly this is none of your business we can handle ourselves and for the alumni who disagree with her having the title you are pitiful and a shame to your alma mater. If it were Miss Black KSU I would understand, but KSU is just a HBCU doesn't mean that ooh only black people should win the crowns.
