I love Jordin Sparks! Not really so much as an artist, but she seems cool as hell as a person. I like that she stood up for abstinence and purity when that lame host on MTV poked fun at the Jonas Brothers for their "puruity" rings. If you are going to get a tattoo, make it mean something. I hate when people get s h i t inked on their body just to say they got something done. I'm sure she won't regret that verse.
shes only virtuous because teen aged boys really have a hard time being attracted to big backed, burly bytches like her.i know i did. matter of fact if youre reading this and youre between the ages of 15 and 19 could you see yourself trying to holla at or "taking one for the team" with this big 'ol bad built ***?
TheNaga77.......(the comment directly above)
So that means she *** be in the entertainment industry??? Let's tell Marvyn and Yolanda to get out!
Perhaps the industry needs some God-fearing people.
But then again you do have a point....God says to not sin against your own body and not to destroy his temple. He even says that GLUTTONY is a sin. There are more fat folks than there are one's with tattoos. And then to tattoo a Scripture.....Blasphemous!
LoL
@miss_butterlove,
Oh are you speaking of Yolanda Adams? and the other ghost spell singers? They openly accept it they know what they are into. Ms. Adams is part of a sorority and a frequent guest of trinity broadcasting which is own and operated by closet Satanist and /of Luciferians. look it up. No bs.
@ ***, I wondered the same thing for a minute. I'd just stopped at MTO's citing of the text and kept it moving. I guess thats an example of how we should be more active in our learning. I remembered being taught by my pops (thru example) to read the verses before and after whats referenced in the sermons, and cracked open my bible. I can't recite the whole thing here (cell phone limits) but she made an amazing choice for a young celeb to reference publically in this day and age. I'd question why she didn't use the next verse instead, but I guess she won't be "young" forever.
@ ***, again, I meant to say, if you hadn't questioned it, I prolly wouldn't have thought to look it up, and would'a missed out. Its a good and relevant ...um, message for me to see right now (mto was the LAST spot I'd expect it from), especially headed into the entertainment biz myself. I'm not tryna preach or "insist", lol, but I think u might even appreciate the spiritual references in the chapter. But, y'know, don't take MY word for it...
I've been back and forth over Christian tattoos being "hypoocritical", ever since i got one reply from one parent and a shrug from the other, lol. The OT scripture says not to, but doesn't really apply from what I hear. Not to mention, Christ's coming negates many of those teachings (like stoning sinners, and whatnot). What most people don't mention is the NT verse somewhere that says not to "dirty" or starve yourself just to prove ur faith. Its debatable. But people callin' others "hypocrites" *** be so quick to chuck rocks. We all are but also live in an age of Grace.
