: One of MediaTakeOut.com’s readers happens to be the baby’s mother of NBA player Joshua Powell from the Los Angeles Lakers. Apparently he’s done some real dirty stuff to her and, according to her, tricked her out of her custodial rights to her daughter.
And the woman sent us the video below – explaining exactly how he did it. We can’t say that we 100% believe everything she says, but it’s nonetheless a very sad story:
I just don't get this. This woman is either crazy of disillusioned. So you have a child by an NBA baller, and now you're entitled to something?? If she was smart, she would have made some legal agreements in terms of support for her and the child. Instead, she dimwittedly signed away her parental rights. I feel bad for her, but she can blame no one but herself. I mean just look at the way she talks. "My" car, "my" house, "my" bank account----c'mon, really?? It's as if we should applaud her because the best thing she ever did was spread her legs for a baller. No go.

This isn't about child support. Whether he's with this chick or not, the child will be provided for. What this is really about is whether the baby's mother is entitled to anything. I would've said yes, but this girl is obviously naive, and WAY too trusting of a guy who obviously deserves none. She screwed up in the legal department, and now resorts to crying and begging for someone to help her. Okay, here is where I am confused. She said that the she was awarded every other weekend with her child. But has not seen her child since she was 15 months old. So that would means this Josh person went against a court order, right? So instead of being on Youtube, take his *** back to court because he is not upholding the judge decision. I think that there is more to this story that she is not saying, did she cheat on him or vice versa? Why if you are staying in the same house and you guys are going to court, I'm not getting that. Ok a little knowledge, when a child is born custody is not established until one or both parents file for it, he just beat her to the punch. Further more if the custodial parent resides in the state of California, by cali. state law she is entitled to visitation but she has to file for it, supervised visitation is only granted if a court finds that she is negligent. Do ur homework peeps, the legal system is all forms and paperwork, not only that but in order to obtain full custody u have to have physical evidence proving neglect or abuse. If Powell and his attorney submitted false information.
regarding this court case and she has the alleged proof, his attorney stands to be disbarred, (which I doubt they did) and Josh could be held in contempt of court. Her story has too many loop holes, my brother faught a nasty custody battle so I know my ish. besides this all seemed scripted and is probably a ploy by her own legal team. trust me a court will not remove a female child from the custody of the mother with no visitation or supervised visitation if they dont have just cause.

Hate to say this, but I have no love for her in this situation. I'm going through hell with my baby mama now. 1st didnt find out I had a child til she was 16 months old. Then we get to court and she hit me with back child support. She also moved to another city when the baby was born, so now she is 5 hours away. She wont even meet me half way so I can see my daughter. She wants me to drive down and pick her up on friday after I get off work and then have her back by 6 on sunday!! This way, the majority of time spent with my daughter the two weekends a month I see her is on the highway!!
