: Just when you thought the whole Michael Jackson saga couldn’t get any messier – it looks like it’s about to.
MediaTakeOut.com spoke with a number of people close to the family who are saying that a brewing legal battle may be in the works between Jackson’s parents Joe and Katherine.
Apparently Joe and Katherine – while still married – have been living separate lives for years. With Joe living in Las Vegas and Katherine in Los Angeles.
But now that Michael’s gone – and his $200 million fortune is up for grabs, Joe has moved back to Los Angeles – and has already begun angling for ways to get a piece of the pie.
As one family friend told MediaTakeOut.com, “Michael did not have a good relationship with his father, they hadn’t spoken in years … and I hope that [Joe] Jackson isn’t going to make any trouble for the family.”
Well so far he hasn’t. As of Monday, Katherine was temporarily granted sole custody of Michael’s three children, his only living heirs. And the latest draft of Michael’s will reportedly has Katherine and the children getting the bulk of his estate.
But ain’t over yet. So stay tuned guys, this one might get ugly.

Although they have been separated for a very long time, Joe and Katherine are still married, so there won't be much of a legal bottle. Further, pay attention, people: Joe Jackson is 80 yrs old. I'm obviously of a different opinion. I think Joe deserves SOMETHING. He had the VISION of his children being GREAT and not many parents have that vision. It's crazy to me when people say if it wasn't for Joe there would be no Michael. Essentially, yes, Joe provided the sperm for Michael to be born. But as far as success, I believe that Michael would have been just as big a star, if not bigger, with out Joe's strong arm. Michael was already showing interest in wanting to be in show business. This is going to be very interesting because Katherine/Joe filed Chapter 7 in 2007 and I wonder how a judge is going to view either of them as it pertains to being able to handle the financial affairs of Michaels children. Something tells me they may both be in for a surprise as it relates to his money. The will specifically states that neither will be executor so will there be a guardian ad litem for the childrens finances.

This is a complete lie!!! Joe & Katherine just celebrated their 60 year wedding anniversary three weeks ago! As he and Michael not speaking in years, Joe was present with Michael the entire time during trial in 2005. Check out CNN to verify. Whoever believes that Joe Jackson "made" Michael Jackson apparently needs to do some research. This man is the NUMBER ONE ENTERTAINER, ARTIST, ALBUM SELLER (etc, etc, etc) OF ALL TIME!!!! I don't know how California Laws are, but Katherine and Joe are still legally married, so they are still a joint union in the eyes of the law. It is quite possible that Joe will share everything that is left to Katherine, especially since he seems like a very controlling man still.
As far as, Michael's siblings are concerned, does anyone know if the Michael Jackson Family Trust Fund includes them, as well as their children? The Will did mention such a fund.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that since Michael has so many siblings with almost all of them being married at one time or another and are parents that he did not request that any of them raise the kids. After all, Katherine is 79 years old (although she is the best person in my opinion), and Diana Ross is 65, which is kinda old to be raising such young and probably very energetic kids.
