According to one of our insiders in Atlanta, Jill and Lamman Rucker, her co-star from the movie Why Did I Get Married, are officially dating. Lamman, who also stars in the Tyler Perry hit TV show Meet The Browns, is 6 foot 4, 220 lbs and built like an NFL linebacker. Between him and Jill, that’s a lot of lovin right there.
It seems a little soon to be moving on ... I mean Jill's son isn't even 6 months old ... But then again, who are we to judge ...

I've gotten the impression from listening to some of her music that Jill's definitely a romantic at heart. She talks about all the things that makes LOVE new and fresh and exciting, like a man's scent from the smell of his cologne, or the sensuality of his hands, or how explosive their love-making is. Its real possible that she's in love with the idea of being in love, and finds the hard part in all of this, trying to sustain the relationship after the newness has dissipated.
Although I am delighted to see she has QUICKLY moved on, especially considering the awfulness of the prior situation, I'm nervous for Jill. She seems to make poor choices in men and is only choosing those she is in close proximity to (Her drummer -of all things- and now her previous co-star). And we all know that SUPER FINE GUY+TYLER PERRY MOVIE = GAY GAY GAY
I'm not really a Jill Scott fan but really....who is MTO to judge how soon she should date another man after dude left her. Her child's father was obviously a piece of $hit so good for her in finding a man that appreciates her. she shouldn't have to put her happiness on hold. He did her a favor by leaving so that she could be appreciated by the next man.
I think it is so sad that Jill waited so long to marry and then it didn't work, have a baby, and that didn't work out either. What is wrong with people? We don't stop and really take the time to get to know each other and 'date' or 'court' before we jump into the really tangible parts that live and relationships will bring to us. Another child in the world being reared by his mother and perhaps an absentee father. I can see the tears of our Father in heaven weeping for his children.
And as far as the "mourning period" (who created that?), we don't know how long she and what's-his-name were over before the public found out. Long-term relationships don't usually break up over night, and they may have just had an arrangement where he would support her through the pregnancy. The alleged new man is someone she has known for a while, so why not skip all the preliminaries when you know someone.

IF this is a true (and that's a big if), Jill needs to chill out! She got married, then next thing you know she's divorced, then a few months later she's dating someone else, then she's pregnant, then they split up days after the baby was born, now she's with another man ALREADY??? She needs to concentrate on herself and her baby. Nothing wrong with being good friends with her co-star but now is not the time to get in a relationship. She should figure out what went wrong in her previous relationships before she starts another one. Now that she's a mother, she can't be running from man to man!
