The fact that he even selected to appear on Oprah is calculated on his part as well.
Again you simple Negro…enough
Chris has no say-so in this public lynching. You think simple Negros like Chris knows the best course of action for his career? Do you think guys like Chris, who is barely out of high school can think strategically.
You truly are in a different realm. How are the stars looking up there where you live, sweetie? Do not insult me with the "simple negro" rhetoric that you keep throwing out there.....i am very aware of the black struggle and the racial undertones in our society.
Chris Brown does not fit into that mold. I think we can agree that he is not making all of his decisions. Hell, we said on yesterdays thread that the attorney clearly wrote his little speech that he gave. Which is part of the point being made. This is why we are saying it is all so phoney and contrived.
You cannot justify his actions either way. Allowing someone to drag you around by the collar and play the victim of slave mentatlity is foolery. It is okay for him , but NOT okay for Oprah.
She is someone who actually took control of her career , and OWNS the rights to the show that she produces along with a plethora of other sucessful ventures. On top of that she employed a white man( Dr. Phil) with a sucessful top ranking show that she profits from.
Now, you can choose to view her as a mammy, or you can move into the 20th century and give her kudos for being the boss , the same way that you give it to the white man. She is the master ...of her empire, sweetie.
Hell, She signs the white man's checks, and has forever shaped the image of leadership, versus the typical employee that just follows the orders of his master.
So..Chris Brown can continue to be dragged around following orders...or he can be a man and take ownership.
