Mary got her voice back after the crack (and that stint between like 96-2001 when she sounded absolutely awful) and now when you hear "Stronger," you're floored by her raw yet beautiful vocal. Mary's voice radiates with soul and feeling and now Whitney's does as well. Whitney's old voice was regal and otherworldly but I have no problem with it now. It's raw, like Mary's. I'm happy for her and I wish her and her daughter well.
I liked it. I think it was very spiritual, she took her time. tried not to do too much and really felt what she was saying. To me it was more about lyrics over how her voice sounded. She has been through so much. Seems like a song between her and God, and her fans. Like she looks to them for strengths. So, who cares if she hit a wrong note, her message was very clear. I enjoyed it! Very touching!
