: MediaTakeOut.com just learned of a disturbing incident. German doctors performed the youngest ever gender reassignment surgery. A 12 year old boy named Tim Petras was changed into Kim Petras.
Here’s how the UK newspaper The Sun is reporting things:
Kim has become the youngest person in the world to have a full sex change operation after undergoing hormone therapy since the age of 12.Couldn’t they have waited until dude was 18????Now aged 16, she said: "I was asked if I feel like a woman now - but the truth is I have always felt like a woman - I just ended up in the wrong body.
"I can enjoy swimming, and bikinis, go in the changing rooms without a problem, everything has changed because of this operation. I just can't wait to put on my favourite bathing suit and go swimming like I've never done before.
"I had to wait until my 16th birthday but once that was past I was able legally to have the operation."
SICK,SICK,SICK How could any board certified physician with ethics and morals start hormone therapy on and perform a *** change on a minor? Well obviously these so called doctors were QUACKS only concerned with the bottom line which is the DOLLAR. well that is probably why she is so messed up now because they have been dressing him like a girl since he was little. its actually better to start a *** change when young for a boy to turn into a girl because the masculinity isnt apparent yet. so its easier to form a female with all the hormones and everything else.
i dont think its bad at all for someone to be able to change there ***. its sad when there unhappy being someone there not for the rest of there life.
I have been living here in Germany for a year now; Europeans have a different take on sexuality than Americans do. Much different. I think it is shocking because we aren't exposed to this type of "morality." His parents probably thought that it would be more of an injustice not to allow him to be who he wants to be versus forcing him to be something he can't be.
i cant stand when people talk about "*** changes" the only change is that you cut off your *** and/or took hormones.

When are ppl gonna wake up and see that if you weren't born a boy then you need to stay that way, if not you need therapy. These kinds of changes are NOT NATURAL. If it was meant for you to be a WOMAN you would have been BORN that way. It is kinda DELUSIONAL. I was born BLACK. Nothing in this world would make me wanna be ANY OTHER RACE. Teens go through all types of things. I think counseling would have been more beneficial since most people that had a *** change often have regrets later on and want to change back.
Some people with *** changes are str8 but suffer from mulitple personalities which is why some of them want the *** change.

As for the people wondering why they did it so young, the longer you wait, the harder it is for you to get used to your new body. When you have developed as a full grown male, it isn't always so easy to transition into a female as it would be someone who is still growing. AND, I do believe someone knows what their identity is by the age of 12. Did you all doubt which gender you were when you were 12? Probably not, so I am sure Kim knows she wants to be a girl.

If he isn't intersexual, then I tend to agree with DECISION. It's a drastic change made too soon by someone too young who hasn't fully developed
@ DECISION, it's not about KNOWING at face value what your gender is, it's about the complexities of rationality that goes into making decisions like these.
Most 12 and 16 year olds do not make SOUND and rational decisions, their analytical skills increase as they age and as they attain more education. I still think he was to young, but it's all ready done...

Now lets say this little BOY was to die due to complications with surgery? would it still be OK? NO! There is no way a child could possibly know that they want to be a girl instead of a boy! The only way this could be acceptably in my eyes is if this child was an hermaphrodite and had undeveloped male parts, other than that this is Crazy!
It's messed up his parents would approve of their child going through with this. As parents you should be setting a better example. Now the parents don't have to abandoned their child but they certainly don't have to agree with this either. They are the adults, not him. This world is getting too crazy for me.
