I really wish people would do some research before they post stuff. That is not a conflict diamond because the Cullinan Mine is a 100% conflict free mind. Most (not all but most) of the conflict mines that put out the "blood diamonds" are not in Sout Africa. And to me the man just looks light skinned. But seriously who the hell truely cares who gets the profit from this one diamond as long as it was aquired legally and ethically.
This is how the story goes....The African child found the diamond while digging, he didn't have any knowledge of what he found. The WHITE man said to the child, "Let me see that." The child handed it over to the white man, and he (the white man) never told the child nor the other Africans what the child gave him. So suddenly the white man claimed jumped the diamond and said he found it. Some of our black folks in America are so crazy for shining, and not crazy for knowledge, that is where the white man take advantage of our people, and some (not all) allows the whiteman to *** them out.
I refuse to wear diamonds from Africa (blood diamonds). I prefer my diamonds from Europe and other parts of the world. Look at the background of that photo. A couple of semesters ago I took a World Lit. class and had one of the best instructors. Well anyways on our African journey she told us that Africa is'nt """as bad""" as they show. She said people are conditioned to think of Africa in that state because we've been conditioned by mags, such as National Geographic. And that Afica has its good parts and bad part like the U.S., and the majority of Africans dont even see wild animals. She said they usually show the worst parts. Please correct me if im wrong on this one, if you live in the A j/*** or are knowledgeable on the sub.
