Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer New York, NY (CNS) - Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' World Series performance has been moved to Thursday, a day after their original schedule. It was announced that the "Empire State of Mind" hitmakers will perform their NYC ode before the game's first pitch Thursday.
The duo, both New York natives, were announced to perform their hit single at the World Series on Wednesday, when the NY Yankees will play against defending champions the Philadelphia Phillies.
But in a joint statement made by Jay-Z and Major League Baseball, they are changing the date to Thursday, October 29, due to the forecast of inclement weather for Wednesday. Staging for the performance could impact the playing field if it is wet.

i live in NY and the talk around here (according to the newspaper) is that they postponed the show till tomorrow because its been raining like cats and dogs here for the past couple days..and the staging would mess up the field, making it "unsafe" for the playing conditions..
